Edit Post makes duplicate posts?

Anyone else noticed this since the phpBB upgrade?
A few days ago I tried to edit a post, twice, and ended up with all 3 versions spamming the board. So I thought, I'll just delete the first 2. No dice - apparently you can only delete the last version. They were minor edits so I just deleted them. Annoying, though. I'm hesitant to edit posts now.
Pretty sure I've seen this with other people's posts... and assumed they were total noobs.
Apparently not. It's easy to do this without realizing it.
Edit: you kinda assume that in 2016, forum software would work...
