I suspected so, how are you so sure?tramp wrote:Didn't you realize that you talk to a BOT here??
The post is off-topic and simply a copy of an older post :raboof wrote:I suspected so, how are you so sure?
Oh, I've done that, but as I didn't get response, and the reported user/post is still there, I didn't use that feature anymore.raboof wrote:Feel free to use the 'reporting' feature of the forum when you see more such posts, by the way.
Ah, I usually do delete the reported users (and their posts).tramp wrote:Oh, I've done that, but as I didn't get response, and the reported user/post is still there, I didn't use that feature anymore.raboof wrote:Feel free to use the 'reporting' feature of the forum when you see more such posts, by the way.
Thanks, those seem to have been the last ones in the queue, guess I missed them. Removed those and the 'zohaa' mentioned in the thread you linked.tramp wrote:You want more? Here you go:

Adding a 'custom security question' worked surprisingly well in the past, I suppose they've cracked this one now though. I wonder if this'd be as simple as updating the question .tramp wrote:I've 2-3 of those every week in my own forum. Didn't know, how we could avoid that they could register
Make a new one, something like "type in last 8 symbols of md5sum of base64 of this text"Adding a 'custom security question' worked surprisingly well in the past

You wont more? Here you go:
ConnieKeefe : http://linuxmusicians.com/viewtopic.php ... 855#p57855
(Copy part of the top post)
riham: http://linuxmusicians.com/viewtopic.php ... 828#p57828
(off-topic and as well a simple old post copy)
Already have change his signature to a spam link.
I've talked with GraysonPeddie about this issue here:

Those bots are easy to detect, as they use all the same "engine". Register, set a simple signature, make a post with copied old content. Wait some time and then change the signature to commercial off-topic stuff.
I've 2-3 of those every week in my own forum. Didn't know, how we could avoid that they could register,
I just realizes that ConnieKeefe have change his signature as well already.
You can 'report' his posts, too.katopan wrote:User douseeyou is spamming the forum.
