Hello! I have an M-AUDIO KEYSTATION 49 MK3 and I want to know how it works with Ardour5.
My OS is Xubuntu 18.04.03 with kernel 5.
I have read the manual of the MIDI keyboard but at this moment I'm good to connect the keyboard to one MIDI track in Ardour and I have no idea to use the Mackie connection.
Any comment is very very appreciated, thank you.

It is class compliant, so it should work ok without any problems.MarPar wrote:Hello! I have an M-AUDIO KEYSTATION 49 MK3 and I want to know how it works with Ardour5.

I have an M-Audio 49-key midi controller and it works fine on Linux. I have used it with Ardour, LMMS, Amsynth, ZynAddSubFX, etc. The only problem I have had is with Musescore, and I think it is a software config issue specific to that application.

Hi!
Your posts are welcome!
I have connected via Mackie protocol the midi keyboard MIDI 2 to the control surface options in Ardour (I have made a connection between KEYBOARD MIDI 2 and Mackie IN of Ardour in QJackCtl)) and now the three buttons STOP, PLAY and REC on the keyboard work with the same command in Ardour....
The KEYBOARD MIDI 1 Out is the signal to play music in a MIDI TRACK in Ardour....

Mine is a different model, with fewer bells and whistles (a Keystation 49e). I'm glad your device is working!

Google tells it works excellent. I've used one in the past (though it was MKII or even the first one, can't recall exactly) about eight years ago, and it worked flawlessly.MarPar wrote:Hello! I have an M-AUDIO KEYSTATION 49 MK3 and I want to know how it works with Ardour5
