VU Meter software for Linux Mint?

Post by arpegadream »

I've tried Meterbridge and Ebumeter in JACK and they don't seem to work, I suppose something is wrong with my install or set up. I use patchage and don't see anything I need to do.

What VU Meter software will work with and what will work without, JACK and Rackarrack?

non-mixer has meters on every strip, but most likely that won't help if you have tried two meters. Like you said, something wrong with your jack config.

Maybe Jack VU meter is someting you'd like. Copy/paste in a terminal:

Code: Select all

(jmeters -t vu "VU Meter" &); sleep 0.1;\
jack_connect system:capture_1 jmeters:in-1

x42 meter collection: http://x42-plugins.com/x42/x42-meters

Available in Debian standard repositories or KXStudio (package x42-plugins). These are really great.
