[solved] mixbus, can record but cannot play back recording.

Anyone using mixbus have an idea as the manual did not help at all.

I must be missing something.

Mixbus records and monitors on all inputs etc, but somehow I cannot play back what I recorded.

Absolutely no sound.

How do you route the playback from the editor into the main output ?

Do they play if you unarm them?

Thanks sysrqer
I dont know how many times this must catch me out now. If I dont use mixbus for a month I always forget that being armed obviously shuts down sound.
The mixbus manual is really to blame here.
It says nothing about disarming before playback.
It clearly says.. Just press play ......

Catches me every time.

It's been a while since I've used ardour or mixbus but I think there is a setting on the channel to control this (mon?) but (if there is) it's still a matter of remembering I suppose.

Harrison needs to fix their manual.
Thanks for the help.

Have you told them that there is need for fixing in the manual?

Did not get a response from them so that is why I posted here, but yes I did.

Well, in a way the manual is already quite "fixed", though what's not easy to fix is the ability of us to remember various specificities in too many DAWs when we hop from one to another while wishing the basejump cinetics on arrival will magically adapt the manual and the soft to our habitsor memories ;-)

Anyway, you may like to check the "Monitoring options:" in the manual chapter: http://www.harrisonconsoles.com/mixbus/ ... nsport-bar

Or (and ;-) see also:
