problem with the Grid.

Post by tony-j »

Hello, i post here too to seek some help.

I use Mixbus/Ardour slaved to my Korg ESX with MIDI MACHINE CONTROL. I use the DAW for recording and playback.

I noticed that the tempo of the recorded track (the tempo of my ESX) is slightly shorter (some milliseconds every 4 beats) than the tempo Grid.
I'm quite sure that the clock of my ESX is quite accurate. I would like to solve this problem.
If i edit the track let's say i cut one beat, nothing change, but if i cut 20 beats they don't match to each other and i have to match the correspondence without the grid.
I use Mixbus but i had this same problem when i used Ardour

Is it a problem of the DAW internal clock and the ESX clock? I never learned to use the Jack Clock, recently i tried to change it but it starts to play the track at a strange speed. Is there some chance to set the already recorded tracks correctly?

Any help would be appreciated.
