GxAmplifier-Stereo-X volume drop when looping in Ardour

Post by noedig »

I came across a strange issue in Ardour: having the Guitarix GxAmplifier-Stereo-X plugin on an audio track in Ardour, when turning on loop mode and starting playback, after the first iteration, the plugin's output volume drops and stays low permanently. Only when I cut and paste the plugin, the volume is restored to the original level again. The volume stays normal trough all operations until I perform looping again.

I narrowed it down to the Cabinet knob. After the first iteration loop, when the plugin volume has dropped, if I move the Cabinet knob or load another cabinet, the plugin volume jumps back to the original volume.

Has any one else come across this?

Maybe best to file a bug report.

Awesome, thanks :D
It's probably a silly question, but out of curiosity, how/why did the bug happen?

Nevermind, the Git commit message explained it well enough.
