lmms 'non scaled' synth

Post by froe »

Hi!

A tricky question(mostly because I don't know how to express it in english)

Is there a way to control the pitch without steps, like on a violin?
Let me clarify, or simplify, I would like to be able to play the synth, but without using the pianoroll, I could do this with automation.
I just want to find a way to control the full frequency range of a synth, just like I can control the pitch bend knob with automation.

I am basically looking for a cv-like input to the Tripple oscillator.

I hope I get my point thru.

Here's a small sample of something I am working on in lmms: https://soundcloud.com/fr_o/test2 wher I use automation on a lot of parameters, and also on the pitch bend.

Well aside from pitch bend you should see if there is a glide parameter. Automating that will allow more natural note transitions. If you really want notes between notes then you might look into microtonal synths like zynaddsubfx.

It's not exactly what I had in mind, but close enough!
