Ardour and Rosegarden are slightly off sync.

Post by Adriano »

Hi guys,
I'm quite new to music production in Linux and I was beginning to have some real fun, but now i have encountered this sync problems with Ardour and Rosergarden that don't allow me to record voices on an instrumental track as I was ready to do now.

The fact is that Rosegarden just don't want to be in sync with the other softwares. Ardour and Muse, along with Jack of course, are perfectly synced. Rosegarden instead, even if the transport responds to the commands, is alway slightly off sync. I mean that if in Ardour and Muse i am at the bar position 02.01.00, Rosegarden will be at the position 01.04.00, slightly late. This is what happen at 90 BPM. If I decrease the BPM at 50, the off sync increase. The strange thing is that if put the BPM at 120 (wich is the default i guess) then evrything is ok. If I put the BPM at 200 instead, then Ardour will be slightly late.

I tried to modify things in Rosegarden, every possible option and combination, but nothing changed.

Any hint on how to solve this problem?!

Thank you in advance, ciao!
