Hi,
I'm quite new to all this Linux audio business, what I want to do is have Hydrogen play a drum beat, and then have that audio be mixed with a mic plugged into the computer, so they can rap over the beat.
Also, I would love to have this mixed audio stream be then broadcasted to the net - I guess that'll require icecast, but does anyone have any pointers on how to do this entire thing on Ubuntu Studio? (I think I have 11.10, it's from Dec. 2011).
Thanks.

Well, a bit more information about your system would be nice.
Do you use the default pulseaudio system? Or Alsa?
How do you want to connect the mic to your computer?
What kind fo youndcard do you use?

Er - I don't know what soundsystem I have - I just installed Ubuntu Studio, it's whatever comes out of the box. (Hydrogen plays a beat OK). How do I select between them?
I want to connect the mic to the mic socket of course.
This is what lspci says about my soundcard:
00:1b.0 Audio device: Intel Corporation N10/ICH 7 Family High Definition Audio Controller (rev 01)
Thanks for your help.
