I would go for MusE, because it's very easy to pick up and has easy-to-use audio and MIDI capabilities. Else, Ardour.

The sound you get from samples is just amazing, how do you do it! I dislike them even in many commercial records, but you make them sound credible

Sea of pain is great at creating atmosphere with so little arrangement. Very nice synth work!
Fog and white roses is a nice and moving composition. For being a symphonic piece played by a computer, this is not an easy feat to achieve!
