Re: Happy Christmas
Happy Christmas everybody! but hey...is just the pope...those sprititual people are allways having something to critize, right? I think that's a strong assessment of all spiritual people, come on :D I would agree with the pope, though, because war in the world actually never stopped after WWII, it's...

Re: Ardour, How can mute original track when I send an output to new audio track?
I'm using Sitala, this plugin has 16 outputs. I can split the signal follow these steps . My problem now is that I hear a sound twice: one from original Sitala midi track and another from the new audio track. So, How can I mute the original track? I want hear only the new audio track where I send t...

Re: Forever Newbie Seeks The Light
Hello Ed, welcome, glad you decided to join us! One of my goals in life is to fund the creation of a cross platform MIDI plugin that would mimic this event list with all of its original shortcuts. (Basically the MIDI plugin wil be a sequencer within a sequencer). There is a modest budget I have for ...

RIP also to Ichiro Mizuki, who sang famous theme songs from the classic era of anime (especially mecha ones, like Maginzer Z and Steel Jeeg)

Re: Is using sample-based instruments incompatible with Creative Commons licenses?
I don't know what "Creative Commons licenses" are. An American thing? Some sort of licence that allows others to copy and sample your stuff? Yes, they have equivalents for licenses like the GPL (CC-By-SA), MIT (CC-By) and Unlicense (CC0), plus a bunch of non-free licenses which restrict c...

Re: Yoshimi at SynthFestUK
Jesper has not only designed posters and flyers for us, he also maintains the website. As if that wasn't enough, he's made some very useful additions to the code - especially regarding the pop-up tooltips. http://yoshimi.github.io/ Jesper seems like a very talented designer. I wonder if he could ma...

Re: Sonix4
Sonix 4 is very Blue Monday-ish, but original nonetheless! Love it. :D Shadow Of The Beast has a very nice electropop feel to it. You are right that the distortion doesn't hurt anybody, it can even make sense in some cases  The punching rhythm section is really nice, truly a "wakeup"...

Re: My first piece since joining this forum.
I don't like speakers, tbh, and only mix on flat headphones and when I make music, I make music for headphone listeners. It's not asocial, I think: I like live music and I don't like discos  Which headphones do you have? Mine are Beyerdynamics DT990's. Superb sound imo, but not particularly fl...

Re: My first piece since joining this forum.
Hi, I've just finished my first piece since joining: https://devloop0.bandcamp.com/track/contours Made with MusE, Hydrogen, Pianoteq, Rebirth, and some soundfonts. As always, when I've mixed with headphones, it turns out sounding rather crappy over speakers, but I'm quite satisfied with the sound o...

Re: Enhanced fork of Rosegarden released
I understand and I too in the past was interested in forking Rosegarden to: Give it a more contemporary UI (I actually wrote two small patches for this, one and two ) Give more centrality to the score editor Remove the audio capabilities (this might not be necessary if someone can maintain them, but...
