My wife decided to take up songwriting and this is the first track that we've (more or less) completed.

Re: Can't scan for windows vsts in Carla
The option to scan for bridged plugins shows up now so it's working but I'm not sure what changed.

Re: Can't scan for windows vsts in Carla
Well it seems to scan for them now but doesn't display windows plugins because the only option I have in search is Native.

Re: Can't scan for windows vsts in Carla
I found my problem. I had to enable experimental features in Carla settings and then enable win bridges.

Can't scan for windows vsts in Carla
I have an installation of Arch and Mint. In Carla, under Architecture my only choice is Native which is greyed out. When I click Refresh, the list of available tools only has carla-discovery-native and python3-rdflib. In Mint python3-rdflib is red. In Arch I have installed Carla-git, carla-bridges-w...

Re: Hydrogen and Ardour going out on sync
I have never experienced this issue myself either prior to this project. I suspect because I tapped out the tempo and left it at 77.507 bpm. I've opened older Ardour projects that I have a Hydrogen file for and I haven't been able to reproduce that issue.

Re: Hydrogen and Ardour going out on sync
The reason that I use Hydrogen is that I like I feel comfortable working in it's grid. I normally use Jack Transport to play Hydrogen from Ardour. When I finish editing I export the audio and import into Ardour. If I were to play samples in a plugin, what is the workflow? I am not so skilled at play...

Re: Do-over! AVL-MXE 2020.12.03 ISO Update..
I noticed in the previous thread that there were issues with the KX repos. Having taken that out, my question is, is there a simple way to install Cadence. Seems problematic to build.

Re: Hydrogen and Ardour going out on sync
I guess I'm really used to working in Hydrogen and it wouldn't hurt to learn some different ways of programming drums.

Re: AV Linux MX Edition Released!
I'm having issues getting a live usb to boot. I 1st tried unetbooin and I got "operating system not found". Then tried downloading the MX Live usb app and when I tried to boot with that it brought me to a blinking cursor. The system is 64 bit uefi and the usb is 4 gb fat 32. In Unetbootin ...

Hydrogen and Ardour going out on sync
I have Ardour and Hydrogen synced using jack transport and I'm playing back the project while creating and editing drum patterns. If I move the playhead back a couple bars, it goes out of sync and I have to start playback from the beginning of the song. I don't believe that I have encountered this b...

Re: Jotunheim - Playing live to backing tracks.
@ Rainmak3r The guitar is called a Penner. In 1983 I took some guitar lessons off of a fellow in my town. He had a luthier shop and was making a couple different body shapes by hand. There were not too many made as I think he needed to focus more on his carpentry business. I think less than 20 of th...

Re: Jotunheim - Playing live to backing tracks.
@Philtomy That amp is a 22 watt combo that I bought in '88. It sounds quite different than what Mesa has come to be known for. The clean sounds from it are amazing. I never used the dirty channel so much as it was kind of noisy but it is quite nice at bedroom volumes. There was a mod going around to...

Jotunheim - Playing live to backing tracks.
I recorded a video of myself playing guitar along with some tracks I recorded in Ardour. The guitar is played through a Mesa Boogie Studio 22 and a Tube Screamer TS-10.
