Re: Ultralite AVB
@baptiste Can you post the changes you had to make to the patch? The patch I shared with @buonamorte.records was based off of the zen-kernel 6.0.3-zen2 which might be slightly different than the 6.0.3 vanilla code, but I would be surprised if any of the patch was already applied. So it might be a g...

Re: Ultralite AVB
AudioNarwhal I have a non-ESS Ultralite AVB and i compiled a patched vanilla 6.0.3 kernel. I had to fiddle a bit with the patch as part of it was already applied, it seems. With the latest firmware, (1.4), i got a 16-channel hopping very quickly. I had to unplug and replug the usb to get it to work...

Re: Ultralite AVB
The non-ess works perfectly in Class Compliant mode with Drumfix' ua101-replacement, see https://linuxmusicians.com/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=18046&p=122814#p122814 Nope. I reinstalled drumfix' module as per instructions on github, curl'ed the motu to cc mode. About 2 hours later, i had a 8 chann...

Re: Ultralite AVB
If some help is needed to test the module, i'd be very happy to help. I bought my Ultralite AVB (non-ess) hoping that it would be my last sound card in decades, and suddenly this sounds achievable !

Re: Ultralite AVB
Which version of the firmware are you using ?
I've been going back and forth between 1.3.5+626 and 1.2.8+378.
I got some hope today, trying the Drumfix driver and reading your latest post : still no channel hopping, having run for a few hours with the liquorix 5.15 kernel.
Thanks for the tips !

Re: Ultralite AVB
What a tragedy. It runs Linux but works best with Windows and Mac. Sadly this irony was not lost on me - poking through their firmware archive, it seems their entire modern lineup is powered by linux, atleast the AVB capable models. Stupid that they've completely ignored linux on the user end of th...

Re: Ultralite AVB
Hey all - I managed to get root on the Ultralite AVB (the embedded linux OS that runs on it). I don't know if it could be of any use to you guys (probably not), but perhaps it could at least be of some assistance during debug (I certainly saw some messages regarding USB events in the root telnet co...

Re: Ultralite AVB
I am running "MOTU AVB 1.3.4+558" for UltraLite AVB and Stage-B16.update" that a nice person gave me, that's a beta version and includes the touch console. It doesn't fix the modulo-8-jumping ofthe input channels when changing jackd's bufsize on the fly but it seems to be as stable a...

Re: Ultralite AVB
Hi ! Newbie here. I own an Ultralite AVB, and was pretty happy about it until this progressive bitcrushing bug on Linux. Before that was the BSOD bug on W10. I contacted MOTU about it and they kindly sent me a beta firmware which resolved the issue. Very confident after that first contact, i was alm...
