Aquaman
Haha, Lilith, you got me  Jonetsu, thanks for the comments. I appreciate your keen ears. It is very difficult for me to mix. One of these days I will post up a photo of what my bedroom studio looks like. You would be surprised at how low-tech I am working. The other regular snafu I have is that...

Re: Rapsberry pi3 electronic compositions
Wow, I really like the harmonies of the "Ambient House".
And I am impressed that you are using Raspberry Pi too.
This type of thing cheers me up a lot.
There is life in that music. Thanks

Re: FL Studio 20 available
FL Studio tried to do a wine version with codeweavers (for macOS), so I guess some of that work benefits using it on Linux. Though now they have a real native macOS application. Using ASIO4ALL or FL ASIO is not really a good idea on linux... Use WineASIO which directly puts audio into JACK, so it s...

AquaMan!
FREE download: "AquaMan" (by ProtoZone)
https://hearthis.at/protozone/aquaman
The file you download ought to be a 320 kbps full-length stereo MP3.
I really enjoyed the "Justice League" movie.
Movies like that always tend to give me musical ideas for moods.

Re: shm tmps
I was getting some strange protection errors when trying to use certain programs on the desktop and in the terminal and it was also showing up during boot. So I took out the fstab entry, and the problems went away. I forget what the errors were. I will perhaps try it again. Because if audio processe...

Re: Daw for raspberry - Non ( Non-Daw now NON Timeline)
Wow, I'd like to try that someday or something similar. I like the idea of creating custom-designed "boomboxes" that have fancy exteriors and good sound quality. I don't want to use an iPod or smartphone. But I want to use something tiny or small. The Pi could be just right, and fun to lea...

Re: PULSE AUDIO MANUAL EDITS FOR LOW-LATENCY
Ooops, sorry about the wierd posting format. I was trying to fix some typos. EDIT (June 4th, 2018): fixed the bit resolution, 16-bit --> 24-bit By the way, resample-method = speex-float-1 was tested by some audio gurus guy a few years ago against other resample methods in terms of CPU benchmarks and...

PULSE AUDIO MANUAL EDITS FOR LOW-LATENCY
If anybody is interested, here's what my /etc/pulse/daemon.conf looks like, manually edited for low-latency and some other stuff: EDIT (June 4th, 2018): fixed the bit resolution, 16-bit --> 24-bit # This file is part of PulseAudio. # # PulseAudio is free software; you can redistribute it and/or mod...

Re: [SOLVED] What should I do to make MX Linux pro audio?
if your soundcard is 24-bit there's a line above that should probablyl be like this: default-sample-format = s24le instead of this: (16-bit soundcard, such as the Alesis 320 USB) default-sample-format = s16le Sorry about that. Also, check the settings in your audio programs to see which they prefer....

Re: Android Audio Latency explained & benchmarked
Thanks for this info. Your info helped prevent me from a purchasing disaster. Those chomebooks and the like are so cute, and tempting, but like you've been talking about... if they can't handle the right latency, it's just not worth it. Happy this was helpful, but be careful with generalizations: C...

I only started coming here a few weeks ago, and the /dev/shm assignment thingie is new to me. I've only been using Linux for audio for a few years now. I think I did read that messing with it or tmpfs isn't needed anymore from a decent configuration wiki, probably linuxaudio.org (?) I forget what it...

Re: Linux Mint Audio Output Quality
I think you may need to manually edit the /etc/pulse/daemon.conf default-sample-rate = 44100 alternate-sample-rate = 96000 OR default-sample-rate = 48000 alternate-sample-rate = 96000 and also set the variable which is probably set to s16le (16-bit) to s24le (24-bit) you might also get results with ...
