Hi,
i've just committed the changes to the 0.9.6 branch on github.
@all: Btw. , what are your plans regarding QT5? I'm thinking about doing the switch to QT5 with 0.9.7, but i don't have an overview of the support of QT5 in the audio distributions.

Re: Hydrogen 0.9.6 released
Hi! The part in SoundLibraryExportDialog.cpp is new and was written after i patched the libarchive stuff, so this is why simply reverting that single file does not work. In general, you could try to build without libarchive for the moment, the NetBSD maintainer of hydrogen does the same for similiar...

Re: Hydrogen 0.9.6 released
Hi Gmaq! Your compile error is rooted in your version of libarchive.. They marked some API calls as deprecated. I think i moved to the "new" api with 0.9.6 beta3. From the man page: archive_read_finish() This is a deprecated synonym for archive_read_free(). The new name was introduced with...

Re: Linux music as a major player...
Thats the reason behind why i call any port of a linux app to another OS a waste of time. This seems to be a quite hard statement, which ignores a lot of real-world scenarios... What about the people which want to use application XYZ on stage on their old laptop? Should they really have to buy a se...

Re: Linux music as a major player...
Hey, it's all good that the Linux devs do that but like I was asking, are they spreading themselves to thin by working on all 3 platforms? Just trying to see why and where there time is spent. You're implying somehow that there are dedicated "Linux Devs", "OS X Devs" and "W...

Re: Hydrogen 0.9.6-RC2 released
Hi,
Yes, Harry send us detailed instructions about how to integrate NSM in hydrogen and (as i just saw) there is also an unanswered mail from him on the mailing list. This is definitely something for 0.9.7, but nothing that will be added quickly between release candidates..

Re: Hydrogen help - can't delete a library
Hi, the system drumkits in hydrogen cannot be deleted from within hydrogen, since the were installed system wide and belong to other users as well. The GMKit and the TR808EmulationKit come directly with hydrogen. If you have other drumkits which appear under system drumkits, then it is likely that t...

Re: How to set velocity ranges in Hydrogen?(SOLVED)
I understand the math, but I'm not going through and doing it for a kit with close to 50 samples. I'll just play a guessing game when that particular function becomes neccesary. My point was why, with only 128 possible values would you build in a need for math into a program for something so simple...

Re: Exporting with tempo markers in Hydrogen
I actually don't understand why ubuntu use the 0.9.6 version in their distro, it is still in beta state :-/ Because that is what is in Debian: http://anonscm.debian.org/gitweb/?p=pkg-multimedia/hydrogen.git;a=summary Sure, the debian/ubuntu connection is clear.. what i meant was: why are they packa...

Re: Midi Mapping in Hydrogen
For now I am happy just being able to have most of the keys where I want them. But I do want to record to hydrogen my midi strokes, so that they make a pattern that I can call up. I guess I need to go into the Options Midi section and then record from there? Because when I press the record button n...
