unable to install repo packages
I am trying to install the KXStudio repos on ubuntu-studio yakketty. I consistently get the complaint from apt that 'http version is not supported' an error from amazon cloud services github. This stops me from installing ardour, which complained about upgrading as it continuously tried to update to...

Raspberry Pi forum permissions
Hi, I tried to access the Raspberry pi forum, but even though I am logged in, I am unable to access it, the message is 'You do not have the required permissions to read topics within this forum.' Seems a bit strange, as I can access everywhere else, and have just finished compiling a realtime kernel...

Re: controlling lv2 parameters with midi control surface
I found guitarix thanks, and added rubberband via the lv2 to that and have been playing with modulating the pitch using the expression pedal. I've had a few xruns so far with a fairly high latency of 10 ms, but I'm fairly certain I can tune that down and get rid of the jitter.
Thanks for your help.

controlling lv2 parameters with midi control surface
Hi, I want to adjust the pitch or the lv2 rubberband plugin and also other parameters of other plugins using my expression pedal on my fcb1010 midi foot controller. I see that carla lists midi properties in the property section of the lv2 plugins but these are greyed out/unavailable. Is there someth...

Re: cadence and alsa state resoration
The problem that I have is that if I want to dual task the machine as a desktop and a music studio, then when I have restarted the machine, and cadence is off, I have no audio from firefox (youtube etc) and games etc. whilst .asoundrc is present. I'm fine with this, in that I can delete .asoundrc an...

cadence and alsa state resoration
Hi, I've been using kxstudio for a few years now both as repos and as the distro (massive thanks btw), and I wanted to ask if it would be possible to be able to opt in cadence to remove the home directory asoundrc on quitting cadence. The reason I ask is that I have only just realised that because t...

Re: kxstudio meta packages
Ok, thanks, When I installed, I got the lucid ppa. I had to uninstall using ppa-purge and then clean my package cache, and then reinstall. Many thanks as usual.

Re: kxstudio meta packages
I've just tried to install cadence and it seems there are no packages at all to install. https://launchpad.net/~kxstudio-team/+archive/ubuntu/ppa states that the launchpad ppa:kxstudio-debian/kxstudio repos should be the ones to use, when in fact it seems that these do not have any packages except t...

kxstudio meta packages
Hi, I installed the kxstudio-repos but when I tried to install the kxstudio-meta packages they weren't there. I checked this page http://kxstudio.sourceforge.net/Documentation:Repository:Upgrade and it states that the meta packages are only available for ubuntu 12.04. I don't understand how this is ...

vivid vervet repos
Hi, will you be providing vivid vervet repos soon, or can I get them already? I am running ubuntu studio vivid beta having been tempted back by the all improved xfce 4.12. By the way, will you be releasing kxstudio distro update using plasma5 or will you change the window manager (I can recommend xf...

Re: Lubuntu cadence start
Thanks for your help. I've just put a fresh install on a laptop of lubuntu, and jack etc is starting at session start. This isn't happening on my older install, but I need to reinstall anyway. Lubuntu has such a low memory footprint, and there are none of the windowmanager issues that I had with XFC...

Lubuntu cadence start
Hi, I'm using the kxstudio repos with lubuntu with no pulseaudio and am having no real problems at all. However, I would like for cadence to start jack etc at session start, unfortunately this doesn't work on Lubuntu. Is there anything that I can install to help lubuntu respond appropriately to Cade...

Re: Help with my tascam-us122l
.asoundrc is written over by cadence. I use my us122l by placing the information from http://pub.briata.org/us-122l/.asoundrc into /etc/asound.conf. You can edit the above file (or create it if it doesn't exist) by using sudo [your favourite text editor here] and copying in the information from the ...
