Thanks for all the hard work you continue to put in, Glen. AV Linux was a real boon to me when I first moved from Windows. Happy 2020 to you and yours!

Re: Switching off WiFi when there is no LAN

I've found that simply stopping network manager from scanning for networks by running

Code: Select all

sudo killall -STOP NetworkManager
eliminates most xruns while still being able to use wifi.

Perfectly understandable, Glen. Good luck with the new phase in your life and thanks for everything you've done (and will no doubt continue to do) for Linux Audio.

Re: Best DAW for the casual beginner?

I found Tracktion very intuitive and version 7 is now free. The only reason I stopped using it was its lack of support for lv2 plugins.

Very nice. I must try and learn some of the principles of synthesis - I'm sure amazing things can be achieved.

Re: Recent Videos produced with (AV) Linux

Looking and sounding great, Glen. Nice harmonies from your daughter and her friend and I'd like to have heard the rest of that solo. What do you use for the video stabilisation? It's quite a cool effect.
