Re: Does anyone have the Apogee Duet working in Linux?

yes it works very stable. yes, problem is switching mic power on. Also switching the Input to guitar or instrument impedance is not possible out of the box. You have to install libhinawa - its is available for Ubuntu (SIGH) and as far as I know not for Arch Linux - ARGH! YOu can download the deb pa...

Re: Did I inspire Jean Michel Jarre? :O

I have working version again. It does not sound 100% as the original I made, but for now I am close enough. I looks like this was mend as a house track :P Chord progression ? What is chord progression. And that is exactly what I am hearing in my head, it needs more chord progression. Now what...

Re: Did I inspire Jean Michel Jarre? :O

I have been looking at the files. I am still happy because I now have all the notes, but how the track sounds.... When I start the file in LMMS, LMMS complains it can't find the synths (vst), nor the ladspa plugins. The tracks were Synth 1 was used are now fixed, but I do not have a clue on what pre...

Re: Did I inspire Jean Michel Jarre? :O

Bring in the dancing girls :)

I booted my previous pc, booted windows 7, and guess what I found Duality.mmpz

I am almost going insane of joy. :P

My back up systems works. (having the lmms files both on the Linux and Windows hard-disk)

Re: Did I inspire Jean Michel Jarre? :O

I can't blame LMMS for this. I have for some time a folder called LMMS backup. I never store older and finished project in the working directory. A fresh install of LMMS might wipe the working directory, I have seen this happen. I also have a back up of my lmms files on my windows hard disk. Duality...

Re: Did I inspire Jean Michel Jarre? :O

Just need to vent some frustration. Been searching thoroughly at my pc, and the original LMMS files of duality are gone. :( To some extent I don't get it. I have a folder called LMMS finished. All files I uploaded to soundcloud are there or at least in my project folder, but not duality. Downloaded ...

Re: Did I inspire Jean Michel Jarre? :O

I tried to find the LMMS file, and I have problem. :( There is no duality file in my home folder. So has the file gone to the digital hunting grounds, or does it have a different name ? Maybe I need to start from scratch, but I have no idea on how I made it and or which synths I used. I think ...

Re: Did I inspire Jean Michel Jarre? :O

I seriously doubt its a rip off, and if I did inspire him it only makes me smile. I did make mine before I had heard the Jarre version. Probably my track needs a rework. Listening to mine, just now and I think I can do better now. More chord progression and add some effects, like one of the people o...

Re: When is enough, enough..?

@GMaq If you don't want to use Pipewire for AVL, just don't. I see no problem with that. I think it's pretty reasonable and could be justified along the lines of ... With Pipewire in the first stage of development, Pipewire is not suitable for a stable distribution that is designed to work out of t...

Re: Linux kernel dev team

I would prefer Linux to stand above this political bs. They should never just trust code from anybody, but I do not like this pointing to the Russians at all. Brought to us by msn, we are are the good guys, Putin is the bad guy. :( There is no we, I am not in war with Russia, my government seems to ...

Re: When is enough, enough..?

I have been wondering often, what an awesome daw we could have on Linux, if the Ardour and LMMS devs would be working together. There is definitely too much reinventing the wheel on my favorite OS. KDE adding more and more new stuff, I feel I do not need. I need a gui to start programs and open file...

Re: Live shows

You lot are not going to love Sleaford Mods live  I would never have expected to type this, but its to repetitive for me. Like he is looping unfinished ideas for a track/song. Even this is less repetitive, because it keeps changes slightly over time. House Jazz ? :P Jaydee - Plasti...

Re: When is enough, enough..?

Thank you. :D

Something I need to try, I probably already have the right LMMS version, thanks to geekos.

Something like kvr but for openssue.

Seeing automation with Carla in LMMS already makes me smile.
