No one said 'always' but you implied that you use a daw.
Currently, I only have time for one daw, Reaper

I don't get the point either. If you're using a daw then why wouldn't you want these to be vsts inside the daw?

Didn't you know? We have to spam about how much we hate pipewire because of confused reasons every time it is mentioned!

Re: November Dub
Nice work lilith, I love the bassline when comes in, just perfect. All the synths sounds really good, squelchy and trippy as they should be. Definitely a different vibe from Om Unit's work in this area and I think you've done a fantastic job.

What settings are you using for pipewire? What does pw-top report for ardour/reaper?

Re: Hello from Arch
There are a bunch of VSTs/LV2s on linux but you can also use yabridge (or another bridge) for Windows VSTs.
Eurorack would definitely give you much higher quality and much more interesting effects, and I can fully recommend it, but it's a pricey venture.

Re: Metadata (Composer) in Media Players
mpd has support for composer and performer. Cantata, an mpd client, can also use it for certain genres in place of artist.
I'm not sure about CD ripping but if I use puddletag for tagging/renaming/organising. Beets is also very powerful and well worth looking into.
