Re: Ardour 5
Well if can give any more specific instructions to reproduce it or even what the actual problem is then maybe we could get somewhere, shifting the goal posts between your posts makes it a little difficult. First it was "Simply use zyn in ardour and you can't" now it works on except if you ...

Re: Ardour 5
I don't do much midi in ardour but I just tested it now and I don't get any kind of problems like you describe, it works as responsively as I would expect any other synth to.

One of these maybe?

It only takes a minute to register but I would imagine they will tell you to update to 5.3. You can download the free demo, might be worth seeing if the same thing happens with that as well.

Re: new Saturator (LV2) plugin
That kind of application is this meant for? I've been trying it on vocals and it's quite good for dirtying them up. The settings seem to go higher (more in to distortion) than I would expect for that though so that's why I'm asking.

Re: new Saturator (LV2) plugin
Thanks, I'll definitely be trying this out soon.
Will this make it in to kxstudio soon or is it best to download manually? I've seen you post a few new things recently but haven't seen many kxstudio updates.

briandc, you'll have to keep pressing enter until you reach the end, that's not the full output.

Re: Voice plugin like a tube fx compressor
Saturation doesn't give you distorted sounding vocals, it acts as a soft compressor or limiter, peaks get clipped and this process generates pleasing harmonics. Try some of the suggestions in this thread on your own vocals, you will see that it is different to distortion.

Re: [ANN] LSP Plugins 1.0.12 have been released!
It only crashes when I launch it from the menu. Only when it's launched from the menu it finds your plugins. When I launched from the terminal it doesn't find your plugins at all. It also doesn't crash because it doesn't seem to find a lot of other plug-ins except the ones that came with it. This i...

Re: Modern or vintage?
What you're describing isn't really modern or vintage. There are plenty of records made on modern equipment but retaining noise or imperfections. If any music is made with notes exactly on the grid then that is a creative decision by the maker, not a necessity of it being modern. Loads of completely...

Not sure if you can attach it here or not but it should only be a small file, a couple of mb probably. Zipping it should make it really small.

Yeah the .ardour file. As you're the only other person experiencing this there must be something common between our projects.
