Re: IR cab loader
No I'm trying to avoid phasing. The majority of IR loaders for guitar cabinets that have seen because they're specific for guitar cabinets, there's a button there to check for phasing issues. I'm not looking to create any of the sound I'm just trying to avoid any phasing issues but we do not have th...

IR cab loader
Hey I'm just wondering if Linux audio has any IR cab loaders. I use LSP impulse response, the stereo version to load multiple cab IRs to blend different cabinets. The thing is, unlike the plugins that are made specifically for cab IR in windows and Mac, I found nothing here that handles phasing issu...

Re: Drumgizmo overheads
I never liked the sound of that kit so I couldn't answer but all the other ones the overheads have the entire kit just like the real deal. So I figured this should have it. I do have the kit. I may give it a shot to see how it works at my end. I think that's what you're looking for is to have one of...

Re: pipewire BS
The Arch version of Firefox has been compiled to use JACK when JACK is running. With Pipewire, Firefox may still think it's using JACK. Actually it would be using pipewire-jack . For whatever reason the Firefox JACK client isn't great, and for me will only work xrun-free with a 512 or larger buffer...

Re: pipewire BS
Wow I forgot a lot of reading to do from what you guys posted. Thanks a lot again. Just a quick update, since the latest update of pipewire, I've been running it with Jack and this is just from the DAW point of view, is it ever running smoothly right now. I will try it later on with the browser to s...

Re: pipewire BS
Thank you to everyone there and almost everything that was mentioned I've had my system set up like that forever. It's just the conversion of a lot of the distros going from pulse to pipe! My sound interface is Audient Sono so I have no issues with the latency side of things. It's all done through t...

Re: pipewire BS
No problems here in Debian land. A fresh install just works. Don't get me wrong this works when I am mixing and recording but if I have to open up a browser just to go to YouTube and then I hit play, the snap crackle pop begins. Especially that a new update of pipewire came today for Arch. I've usu...

pipewire BS
Yes yes yes I already been reading a lot of the headaches with pipewire But I tried to work with it and now I'm about to throw my computer through the window. The only reason I kept it is because finally my system can actually watch a video on YouTube for a couple of pointers while Jack is running. ...

Re: AutoEQ with Jack
Thanks everyone. Here's something that just crossed my mind, is there a way of converting or at least getting the EQ measurements of what sonarworks uses? They were trying to help me as my system updated and of course they don't support our platform anymore but because I paid for it when Buddy came ...

Re: AutoEQ with Jack
Yeah I think autoEQ is more for listening pleasure than mixing/mastering. Not like sonarworks which also claims to do both. I noticed a major difference when the sonarworks was active to bring off. Don't really notice this on or off

Re: AutoEQ with Jack
Yes thanks guys! You see I don't want it for listening I needed for mixing and sonarworks it was basically a flat line until you get up to around I think it was actually 3.5 k where there was just a little bump but the majority was flat. The way I get it right now, I think there's a bump at about 20...

Re: AutoEQ with Jack
So what I'm trying to figure out is that when I download the wave file I also get an equalization sheet. Now am I supposed to load that impulse response wave file into and impulse response loader and then set up a parametric equalizer with those EQ settings? And on top of that there's so many other...
