Re: Sonja

Now that's a very very beautiful song folderol!

I hear a very profound sadness in this melody and the warmth is certainly at it's place.

Well done :!:

Re: Penguin Win Situations

Creating that Linux music playlist is a good idea. I'm curious, could you direct me to it? (To the Soundcloud one, my religion forbids me to use Spotify :P ) Here's the current Soundcloud one: https://soundcloud.com/bulevardi/sets/linux-musicians-playlist Here's a thread about it: https://linuxmusi...

Re: Penguin Win Situations

I like a lot the drop in tempo that starts ~ minute 3. You do that with automation, right, just lowering the tempo? What came first, did you have the music first and then had the idea of slowing it down progressively, or you felt like writing a song with a drop in tempo and built the music around t...

Re: Buskers - Hellhole in the Sofa (Video made using Linux software)

The song itself is good. (although I get a headache by the screaming on 2'07" ;) ) But the sound can be a bit wider in range indeed. Don't know how technically, but some mastering to get the tones a bit fatter would make the song fit more. Now it sounds more old-school like on a cassette, which...

Re: The spring stream (musical album 2023)

It's very nicely done!
It sounds like a soundtrack for an adventure and mystic role playing game on an old console.
Will listen more to it later on :)

It has a nice atmosphere.
Love the warm sounds and harmonics in it. Calms me down :)

https://i1.sndcdn.com/artworks-bRzi6yIVMrmu2O6q-UMdjrA-t500x500.jpg Hi folks 🐧 So a new song is out there! While I'm still waiting for a new guitar that I ordered a long time ago, I thought to spent my time learning new synths... (I'm still a n00b in that field). I first planned to make a song usin...

That would be very welcome. As more Ideas shared, as better I could make it. (And indeed, maybe that would lead to more changes which may happen otherwise later) :) Here's a new Instagram reel about Guitarix! Feel free to share it on IG, Twitter, FB,...😊😊 https://www.instagram.com/reel/Cr_EBBdqqhd/...

Re: guitarix.vst

Oh my mistake. The IR files were indeed already included in the VST version.

But the LV2 files were missing. Copied them

Re: guitarix.vst

To make the guitarix own IR files available in the VST version, you must install the complete bundle, means, when build yourself, just run "make install" after build ( no root required). That will copy over the complete bundle to ~/vst3 When use the prebuild binary, unpack that and then c...

Re: guitarix.vst

It seems that in the VST version, some things are missing, like when I push the "LV2" button, nothing is mentioned in the drop down. Also, in the right pane, when you choose 'Reverb: Convolver', you can load a file for type of amp or band you like... These are also missing. I noticed it, b...

Re: Facebook and instagram, good for publicity?

How it's made is only of interest to people who also make music. It's good to have social media promoting software but it's of no interest to most people who just enjoy listening to music. A "linux made music only" spotify playlist is meaningless. Good music is good music however it is ma...
