Re: Kontakt Player 6 ?
Also set realtime priorities If they are not set then cpu spiking can occur with Kontakt and other plugins. sudo edit /etc/security/limits.conf add @audio - rtprio 99 ------ sudo edit /etc/group change audio:x:29:pulse to audio:x:29:pulse,<your_username> ------------ sudo edit /etc/security/limits.d...

Re: Kontakt Player 6 ?
I gave it a try. First by downloading Native Access and then running it, wher eit asks about installing Kontakt 6 and Reaktor 6. wine had a problem during install. Which is a bit curious since an installation is just about unpacking and copying files here and there, modifying config files, nothing ...

Re: Kontakt Player 6 ?
Kontakt Player 5.x and 6.x (can try turning multiprocessing off for some setups). Some additional dll overrides (below) might be needed for Kontakt. Kontakt when used with Wine (Stable) 4.x needs a msvcp140.dll override whereas Kontakt used with Wine Staging 4.x doesn't. To override a Wine dll, copy...

Re: Kontakt player decided to stop working on me...
Can this also be helpful for other VSTs ? How is winecfg being run, any parameters ? Thanks. Just winecfg from the terminal. It's mainly helpful for slower hard disks because Wine can take a while to load it's libraries etc off the disk which can throw a plugins startup routine off. I tried it, and...

Re: Kontakt player decided to stop working on me...
Another thing about Kontakt is that on slower systems it's probably best to run winecfg first so that the Wine libraries get pre loaded, as Kontakt does quite a bit on startup and it likes Wine libraries to be pre loaded and ready to go otherwise it can crash (it won't matter that much for faster s...

Re: Kontakt player decided to stop working on me...
Well linvst just makes a .so link with the .dll file and uses wine so I don't think lutris would be of help to this issue. So maybe I tried to install them in the wrong order... I installed native access by itself in a fresh wine prefix and it loaded up without the QT5 issues. Now the problem is it...

Re: Any timeouts whatsoever in linvst ?
There are timeouts if something goes wrong somewhere (connection with server, loading the dll etc), I think it's about a minute or so.jonetsu wrote:Hi,
I haven't looked at the code, just thought of asking ... Is there any timeout in linvst that could lead to a systemic error ?

Re: HELP! Online Registration of Windows VST plugins through LinVST and Wine
The reg often uses crypt functions and they need to be translated to Linux functions/libraries and if something is missing then it won't work. There are winbind and libntlm0 and gnutls (gnutls-bin). Even with all that installed it still just maybe a Wine problem thing. Another thing is that some reg...

Re: Lin-vst problems (version mismatch)
If there is a .so file without a matching dll file, then that can trigger the error.
for instance, testvst.so is in the DAW search path but there is no testvst.dll

Re: Midi plugins (vst) problem
I tested Chordz with Reaper and it's sending the processed midi events back to the host (Reaper) and the host (Reaper) is passing them on to the next plugin (which is a synth I'm using btw). ---------- The vst functions are The host (DAW) sends midi events via processvstevents to the vst plugin. Re: linvst stopped working for a lot of plugins
Maybe something was installed that is causing it? Maybe the PACE files can just be deleted C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\PACE\Services\LicenseServices\LDSvc.exe etc I'm not sure about whether the PACE files can cause problems or not. There might be PACE references in the registry and PACE driv...

Re: Lin-vst problems (version mismatch)
If you have an older version LinVst .so file hanging around somewhere in your DAW search paths, then that can trigger the version mismatch error. If the lin-vst-serverxxxx files havn't been installed to /usr/bin then that can trigger the version mismatch error. Maybe try to get the DAW search paths ...

It looks like you have a Native Access install error. Native Access uses QT5 which should have been installed and setup by the Native Access Install. 002a:err:module:import_dll Library Qt5Widgets.dll (which is needed by L"C:\\Program Files\\Native Instruments\\Native Access\\Native Access.exe&q...
