Re: And now...
A few notes: I got rid of Zita's ambisonic (ie, hokey quadrophonic output). Don't see the practical use for it. I also got rid of the parametric EQ to save RAM and CPU overhead. If you need to EQ the reverb, you're better off chaining an eq plugin to it. I do hope you're not serious. The ambisonic ...

Re: Focusrite Scarlett 2i4 - success!
Hi male! Although I can start JACK with -p 16, -p 64 is the lowest I can manage here without getting crazy xruns but I suspect you could well have a superior machine (than my aging core2duo 2Ghz laptop) combined with a more highly tweaked OS, top JACK dev dude that you are! :) Make sure you use the...

Re: Focusrite Scarlett 2i4 - success!
I just got this device as well. It seems to work fine. However, there are no controls in alsamixer. Also (this is a bit odd, I think) the volume knob only controls channels 1 and 2. I found that -p 16 -n 3 works the best. Note, however, that according to jack_iodelay, the actual latency is 6.8ms (no...

Re: PyDAW progress
Why are you encouraging people to run this thing when it is so clearly encumbered? A mix from Ardour3 made with material created in PyDAW and A3: http://linux-sound.org/audio/trance_loop_138bpm.mp3 http://linux-sound.org/audio/trance_loop_138bpm.ogg Best, dp Respectfully, I can't even tell from lis...

Re: PyDAW progress
Greetings, Although he's managed to piss off about everyone else in the Linux audio world Jeff Hubbard has continued to develop his PyDAW, and I've been testing it all along. IMO it's getting to a stage of real usability, though of course Jeff's design considerations may throw off some users. Recen...

Re: Move KXStudio to ArchLinux?
Bear with me on this... Canonical have been really stupid lately. Dropping bombs like MIR and ignoring all current work done so far. That's actually not the real issue - the issue is that all of it was done in closed doors... This is not the first time such thing has happened, and I'm afraid of wha...

Re: Fave Linux DAW poll v2
Is it really fair to list Ardour AND Mixbus? That's basically listing two different versions of Ardour.
