Re: FiveFiveSix

I like that one too. The synths in the background remind me on BOHREN & DER CLUB OF GORE. The guitar is maybe a bit too busy and I would prefer if less notes are played, but that's a matter of taste.

Re: Lair of the Dragon King

Great, I like it! The melody which is repeating over and over sounds familiar to me. I hear some 70s Krautrock influences. Does it makes sense? How did you make the distorted guitar-like sounds?

Extremophile (You're a star)

Here's the latest track I made with Renoise: https://soundcloud.com/lilith_93/extremophile-youre-a-star ----------------- Used plugins: Hive, Diva, Repro Drum and Noise samples Presswerk (A preset as I just bought it and have to get used to it) Colorcopy on Snare the voice sample is a pitched down f...

Re: System freeze - realtime kernel

I'm using the RT kernel (4.9.0-8-rt-amd64) meanwhile again and I see often such messages in the journal: NOHZ: local_softirq_pending 80 Same happened with the previous RT kernel. Usually they make no problems and I read somewhere they are considered to be uncritical. This evening again the system fr...

Re: The house covered snow (instrumental)

Great track! Sounds somehow russian to me and reminds me a bit of MARC ALMOND (e.g. the HEART OF SNOW album).
The flute sounds a bit too trashy for my taste and maybe I would add some more reverb here and there.

Finally I couldn't resist. As I only had HIVE I thought it makes sense to have some more instruments. Now I'm waiting for a good ZEBRA offer.

Re: U-he Diva, and Repro 50% off courtesy of Native Instruments sale lasts 13 more days

@Jonetsu: Any news with your Repro CPU problems? I thought about buying it, but I wonder if I should get Zebra instead of Repro 5 or Diva or even the whole package

I only have an i5, so I might run into problem quicky with Repro. Sound is great though ...

Re: Upcoming Bitwig Studio 3 : The Grid

What I really find great about renoise is that tracks and instruments are independent. Also great is the spectrum and phase view at the top. Something I really miss in other DAWs. I have good memories of Renoise. For me, it's the emacs of audio creation. And that says a lot ! :D Do you have some tra...
