Have you tried EasyStroke Gesture Recognition?
You can run anything with a simple stroke of your mouse - it's great to have some special mouse buttons for this.
Runs very well on any desktop I tried (Gnome, KDE, LXDE, XFCE, OpenBox).

Unable to upgrade fresh installaton of KX Studio 14.04
After about a year of me contunuosly using KX Studio 14.04 LTS as my main system, it's life has come to an end - I reached a state where I can't install or upgradey any packages, because of a few of them being boken (dependency hell). I might shift this back in ime with rdiff-backup increments I'm m...

Re: Package requests here! (New and updates)
Calf plugins got new look!
Details: http://libremusicproduction.com/news/20 ... s-new-look
Updating the calf-plugins-git package would probably get this update working for KX Studio users.
Thanks!

Re: HOWTO: REQUEST
I'm looking for a comprehensive LADISH manual/guide/howto/tutorial. Sine my searches did not succeed I'm asking here. All I found was a little tutorial in the KX Studio documentaiton, but that's fairly basic. I'd like to understand this system to the bone, what, why and how, everything. Do you know ...

Linear phase EQ
Hi! I'm trying to locate an opensource linear phase EQ plugin with no luck. Those are particularly useful in mastering. With regular EQ, agressive cuts or boosts on such broadband and complicated signals as a whole mix, can cause audible phase shift artifacfs, like messing up transients and stereo i...

Re: Package requests here! (New and updates)
I'm using Bitrot plugins from Grejppi:

They are great for glitch effects, there's a video of them in live action by Umcaruje:

Cadence ALSA-JACK bridge: on/off status not updated
When I restart JACK using Cadence, the status of ALSA-JACK bridge is not updated, and I have to swithc to another type of brigge and back to make the "Start" button active again. I guess this is easily fixable. Running JACK and the bridge: screen1.png Stopped JACK: screen2.png Started JACK...

Re: Cadence ALSA-JACK bridge: aliasing & quantization distor
I get the same clicks and glitches, sound like x-runs, but other JACK audio is free of that. I think it's because the alsa_in/out processes are run with very high nice value, how can I change that to something normal? I'm looking into the code of the script, but can't find anyhting nice-related there.

Re: Cadence's JACK duplex operation problems
Thanks, falktx
I'm also very happy to hear a new KX Studio ISO is coming up, I'm using 14.04 for a long time now, and I got some issues, so I'll probably take some time to switch to the never one (start over, reconfigure it to my needs).

Cadence's JACK duplex operation problems
This started a few months ago. I want to use two audio interfaces with JACK, one for input, another one for output. Input is Zoom H2, external via USB Output is Intel Conexant Analog, built-in I used to do this and everything worked fine, but now when I select two interfaces, I get only Conexant Ana...

Cadence ALSA-JACK bridge: aliasing & quantization distortion
I've noticed that Cadence's ALSA-JACK bridge introduces bad distortion to the signal. aloop.png Here's an example of a track in original shape, and played back through the bridge. There's also some MP3 compression aftifacts (hihat) audible introduced by Soundcloud streaming, but other problems are f...

Behringer Motör & GNU/Linux?
Have anybody used Behringer Motör master keyboards with GNU/Linux?
I'm seriously thinking about getting one, but I'd like to make sure it won't lack any functionality when used under GNU/Linux.
Here's the official product page if you don't know it:
