Re: How do you choose your music distributor - e.g. CD Baby, DistroKid, TuneCore?

Sorry for the late response. Been busy distributing. Horus doesn't need it to monetize via SoundCloud. Did the process change at least somewhat with SoundCloud now having a Monetize option? I think it's only for internal sales, but I'm unsure. If you put in the ISRC and UPC, that should be enough fo...

Nightcore Remixes

I've asked about Chopped & Screwed here, but I'm also curious about Nightcore.

Does anyone here ever create Nightcore versions of their music - sped and pitched up ?

Re: Chopped & Screwed Hip-Hop/Rap Music

Thanks for listening to both and your feedback. I like the ability to make an instrument out of a full song and flip the vibe between major and minor. An issue with my example is the original is already to long. I think the average Chopped & Screwed versions come in at ~5-6 minutes. I'll share m...

Chopped & Screwed Hip-Hop/Rap Music

I recently released my first Chopped and Screwed track. Are there popular platforms I should submit such tracks to in the future?

If by admin access you mean username/password, this concludes the process changes per distributor.

I don't think we're on the same page. I just explained a monetization process, and there's no need to give admin access to anyone.

Now I have to check out EmuBands. Regarding Soundcloud, you should only need an ISRC and UPC to monetize music on the platform. You may then need to have your Soundcloud page whitelisted. Is this not a standard process across distributors?

I'm going to ask other distributors about the Content ID. https://www.orfium.com/ is new to me. How do you compare it to CD Baby and Distro Kid (the most popular as of now)?

Re: How do you choose your music distributor - e.g. CD Baby, DistroKid, TuneCore?

From what I remember, Routenote gets the majors. However, I'd read that those that distribute to many more are beneficial for EDM - e.g. Horus.

Anyone got more info on this:

Re: How do you choose your music distributor - e.g. CD Baby, DistroKid, TuneCore?

I do remember you giving that option. I don't plan on going with them just because of how little platforms they distribute to compared to others. Regardless, its good to know of the many available options.
