Re: Call for testing: ZynAddSubFX LV2&VST plugin

I've installed it and made a new project in bitwig. Zynaddsubfx vst was opening like it should, i could make a patch that sounded good. Tried the zyn echo and reverb plugin but they sounded terrible. The effects sounded really distorted and noizy so unusable. Removed the effects, and added non-zyn e...

And what about VST SDK 3.6.5? Do the linux hosts support it?

I already compiled plugins with SDK 3.6.0 on my system, so 3.6.5 will do also.
In the SDK there is also a 2.x directory. (VST3_SDK/public.sdk/source/vst2.x)

Re: The free synths from u-he

I saw today on u-he site that there is a new experimental reverb plugin.

Protoverb.

And yes, it's available for linux in vst format.

http://www.u-he.com/cms/179-protoverb

Haven't tried it yes, not enough time.

Re: The free synths from u-he

Hi Dave,

What did you do to receive the beatzille?

I just bought the magazine for beatzille but now i should contact the u-he support.
Is a copy of paypal transaction good enough to prove you bought the magazine?

Re: help choosing a good vst for a sound.

Plenty of linuxvst's http://linux-sound.org/linux-vst-plugins.html For Ardour there are also plenty of lv2/ladspa/dssi plugins that sound good. For drums & bass getting sound good and pumping. EQ and compression are important. The bassdrum and the bass will disturb each other because they share ...

Re: amsynth 1.6.0

Kinda strange, i tought everything was working well but i doesn't. If a make a patch the patch is saved correctly but if a reopen the project or the gui, the preset is not set in the gui, but the sound is correct. The gui always looks like it's a default init patch. Always both osc with sawtooth. Bo...

Re: amsynth 1.6.0

Hi Nick,

I've compiled from git and tried it and yes it does what it supose to do :-)
All the parameters are being saved, so no more loss when reopening the project :-).

Thank you!

Re: amsynth 1.6.0

Bitwig doesn't seem to save the parameters. After reloading project the patch is always lost. Even f i duplicate a track, the patch isn't the same of the one i've created. The parameters on the GUI aren the same. Resonance is always at maximum, while the gui shows it's 0. same with cut off, probabl...

Re: Oxe FM now opensource and linux vst version

@tripomatic - It appears that you have to rebuild it to fit a new skin on it. See the notes at https://github.com/oxesoft/oxefmsynth for more information. @sysrqer - Better tell Daniel. Have you verified the crash on repeated tries ? Best, dp IC, only can't compile it :-). It fails. Can you compile...

Re: Oxe FM now opensource and linux vst version

Does different skins work on linux?

Tried it yesterdag but it fails, it always shows the original skin, even if i install a different skin.
The skins is located where the vst is and uses the directory skins like it should according the readme.

Re: amSynth VST, CDP on Renoise, etc.

Discovered it by accident today that amsynth vst support is reworked.
Compiled it from source and works perfect, even with lfo mod, so everything can be modulated etc etc.

Great work Nick!

Re: Circle2

According the website there's no linux plugin, only "pc" (windows) and mac. If you search kvrdatabase, there are linux vst plugins that don't even exist, looks like circle is one the 'ghost' plugins. However, i see that it uses the juce framework so porting to linux would be very easy, so ...
