Re: How to automatically switch between EQ presets?

The problem is the following: I use mainly Zynaddsubfx for the synth, organs and strings, and Fluidsynth only for the piano. Zynaddsubfx has several sounds loaded, selected changing the MIDI channel from my keyboard. I would like to equalize each sound separately in the most proper way (one preset ...

Re: Mastering Plugin -- Help me Pick?

The analogy is not right because it misses the volume factor. That other users do not know about ext2 is all right since poeple using ext2 are a small group, for a given market and, one that does not necessarily attract sales. The analogy is right. Why should Linux distributions support FAT, exFAT ...

Re: Mastering Plugin -- Help me Pick?

I sure wish Tracktion and Bitwig would support LV2, but can we really blame them for not supporting it? Will MS Windows support ext2 out of the box? I doubt it. Should we really blame MS for not supporting it out of the box? We - sure. Other users still don't know what's exactly ext2 is. Are they b...

Re: crazy x-runs with LSP IR plugin

maybe the new series?? what's easier for you? do what's best for you man! we can figure it out as we go along. For me is not too much sense. I just can copy+pase the code of IR plugin and update it to make more advanced or just update it to make advanced. I'm only thinking about will it provide dup...

Re: crazy x-runs with LSP IR plugin

I'm also currently working on Impulse Response plugin review. I think I can add a lot of additional features (like True Reverb support) for them but this may make the plugin incompatible with current implementation. What do you think about my current state (that can be called a dilemma): should I re...

Re: crazy x-runs with LSP IR plugin

Okay I've set up a new project with only four tracks us some guy wanted me to add a couple of guitar solos the finished product. I've added your impulse response loader and a saturator and some EQ and delay and a cabinet simulator and that is running flawlessly. Mind you my other projects are loade...

Re: crazy x-runs with LSP IR plugin

I'm using a FocusRite 2i2 and set to monitor. governor set to performance. Tried to increase FFT as you mentioned in the video, Never had xruns with ir-lv2 or klangfalter. didn't have this issue with LSP Impulse Response loader either until an upgrade that's why I've asked if anyone using Arch is e...

Re: crazy x-runs with LSP IR plugin

anyone on Arch64 using LSP Impulse Response plugins?? I'm getting killer x-runs and the DSP monitor in Ardour keeps flashing red and I'm getting popping sounds. Doesn't happen with other reverbs or IR loaders. Ran Ardour --gdb but all I get is the Splash screen, Ardour will not load. Tried the git ...

Re: Sharing ardour projects that have LV2 and VST plugins

I'm curious about the unique-id. The VST id is numeric; the LV2 id is a url string. Is it possible that a different release of a VST plugin might have a different id, even if it is binary compatible? To identify LADSPA plugins, the similar mechanism was used: decimal LADSPA ID was provided. But wit...

Re: Mastering Plugin -- Help me Pick?

What would be the advantages for a VST developer to make the changes required to support LV2 when they can keep VST and make it LinuxVST ? I mean, wouldn't imposing LV2 counter-productive to have popular VSTs ported to Linux or, for a new VST product, to get the extra effort to make LV2 for only a ...

Re: Mastering Plugin -- Help me Pick?

That said... I do think I've gotten better results since the thread opened and I've taken the LSP (vst) set for a spin. Very impressive and it allows me to stay within my preferred DAW. I'm still open to other options but LSP is pretty mind-blowing given that I tend to rely on LV2 plugins, but can'...

Site was offline for few days

Dear admins!
The site was offline due to simple MySQL table crash for about 4 days. This is unacceptable. I think falkTX was able to repair the MySQL table but didn't had direct access to database. I think you should find people who could operatively fix problems.

I think since I've implemented expression language for XML, it is possible to implement this feature.

Re: Why VST??

It's been interesting as there were some other things to try with a vst wrapper and a X11 window. I've actually managed to get the lsp plugins working in Linux Tracktion using my vst wrapper and it's X11 window. The lsp plugins don't work in Linux Tracktion, but they work in a vst wrapper with a X1...
