Re: Honeysuckers - Melt
A very nice blend of 70's rock and prog rock, with psychedelic spices. Gives me a warm, cozy feeling.

Re: Set rtprio for Reaper
You can set minimal idle states, and disabling mitigations (it's a minuscule security risk) can give a serious performance boost for some processors. I set extra kernel options: intel_idle.max_cstate=0 processor.max_cstate=1 threadirqs mitigations=off Liquorix disables P-states and runs performance...

Try it out. I don't know if disabling the software part gets rid of any activity and interrupts of the bluetooth and wifi hardware.

Re: Routing all sound from Ubuntu Studio to audio interface
Thanks for the info. I'm going through the Ubuntu Studio wiki right now seeing if it answers my questions. It's a bit complicated with Linux since there are different audio and MIDI systems used. ALSA MIDI and JACK MIDI ALSA audio, Pulseaudio audio and JACK audio Recent systems introduce Pipewire t...

Solution to font problem (was: Debian 12 "Bookworm")
Compared to Xubuntu 16 the font Bitstream Vera Sans Mono looks different in xfce4-terminal (same in Ubuntu 18 and higher). I don't like it but cannot change it. The settings for the hinting have changed since Ubuntu 16. If you are used to Ubuntu 16's hinting then add the following line to /etc/envi...

Re: any idea how to get LinuxSampler working in OS10.5?
I definitely need new glasses! :D. I think I also need a self imposed break from the internet—I’m lashing out at people these days, and regretting it later after calming down. :( You have to work on yourself: You mustn't calm down, then you won't have any regrets. I’m going to go out on a limb here...

Re: any idea how to get LinuxSampler working in OS10.5?
You are pointing to a third-party gui front end and trying to count it as actual Linuxsampler development? :? Do you need a pair of glasses? I was answering to the @777funk claim about Qjackctl not being "supported". I definitely need new glasses! :D. I think I also need a s...

Plugin to display MIDI data
I am looking for a plugin to display MIDI data in a track or bus (Qtractor).
I think I found something like that on a Swiss website but I can't remember where it was.

Re: Ultralite AVB
On my machine I use hw:0 with jack, not hw:0,0 and it works. Pulseaudio makes no problems since I configured it to use jack_sink and never try to access the Ultralite directly. See also http://marzen.de/Holger/pulseaudio_and_jack/ One reason having problems to use ALSA may be a system wide redirecti...
