Re: Anyone know how to do 9/8 in Hydrogen?

Well, if I am counting it right (using my fingers too), this looks like 9/8 to me. How you group and accentuate those is up to you...

Re: Help to deal with Zynjacku problem

Actually, when I tried second time to set that line to False, now it works. I must have changed something else, because today I had a really busy day. Thanks! :)

Help to deal with Zynjacku problem

Can somebody help me with this? I am trying to make Zynjacku scan plugins, but it's stuck at gx tuner, I guess? From the Terminal it reads: Traceback (most recent call last): File "/usr/bin/zynjacku", line 294, in on_synth_load self.plugins_load("LV2 synth plugins") File "/u...

Re: Jackfreqd....

It might be because you have to use sudo -i. I installed it, but didn't try it with elevated privileges, I must say, because, after I bumped into the same problem as you did, I tried once more another solution suggested here (the last post): https://linuxmusicians.com/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=14759&a...

Jackfreqd....

Recently I found about this

https://gareus.org/oss/jackfreqd/start

Is anybody here using it? What is your experience, does it help? Also, if I install it, do I have to disable indicator-cpufreq and other services related to CPU managing?

Re: Many sound problems disappear with removing of Pulse, except for...

I read that sometimes hyperthreading might be causing problems. But when I try to turn it off with

Code: Select all

echo off > /sys/devices/system/cpu/smt/control
I get this error, regardless if I enter it as a root or not:

Code: Select all

bash: /sys/devices/system/cpu/smt/control: Permission denied
Why is that so?

Re: Many sound problems disappear with removing of Pulse, except for...

I tried everything, but I still get xruns. I tried this solution too (the last post in the thread), it also worked for some other guy on another forum, but in my case results to no sound at all.

Many sound problems disappear with removing of Pulse, except for...

My laptop is plagued with xruns...I mean like, sometimes it goes to thousands of them, chopping the sound. So today I tried to temporarily remove the pulse folder from etc. And - there are still xruns, but in a significantly smaller number, like, less then 10 in 5-10 minutes with Guitarix and Hydrog...

KX Studio RT kernel?

Is there a RT kernel in the KX Studio repositories that I can install just by typing a command in the terminal? I use Ubuntu 16.04, and I would also like to keep the stock kernel for regular tasks.

Re: MIDI Drum Loops Preview

So far, I found a second to best option, and that is this: https://x42-plugins.com/x42/x42-avldrums

Then I go the Ardour settings and change the instrument for MIDI audition to any of the Black Pearl kits that this plugin provides.

MIDI Drum Loops Preview

Is there any kind of software that would allow me to preview MIDI drum loops? Ideally, maybe some DAW where I could assign a DrumGizmo instance with the drumset I intend to use? Ardour's preview player is some general synth sound. Or maybe I should change some Ardour setting?
