Re: Future of LinuxMusicians?

Great ideas, guys, let's keep up the brainstorming. I really want to make sure this board keeps on going for those that are interested in it, even though I can't be as active as I once was. I've already had one person volunteer to upgrade the forum software to latest phpBB, so that might be a good f...

Re: Spammers working overtime

Thanks for the kind words. I agree regarding a better solution. To all: Why don't we take the discussion to another thread in the Suggestion Box and see what we can come up with?

Re: Spammers working overtime

It definitely does need an upgrade, no arguments there! I'd personally like to move away from phpBB since I've not had the best experience administering it, but I'll need to do lots of research. Re: KXStudio site?

This topic is about the KXStudio site. Stay on topic, please. We should all be able to be mature adults with out resorting to taunts and name calling. I don't like banning people, I really don't...but I certainly will if that's what it takes to keep this community respectful and considerate.

Re: LINUX IN REVIEW website live

I just want to make sure our members here don't fall into, "It's a trap!" I will drop the matter from here on out and not continue the flame war. Thanks for bringing this to our attention, for keeping the best interests of LM users in mind! We will keep an out for this kind of activity. E...

Re: LINUX IN REVIEW website live

I deleted the thread because it didn't add anything this forum's content, and was a hotbed for personal attacks.

Re: Best Piano App

One I have been using lately is called Piano for You. I like that you can have two rows of keys for a lot more range on the screen at one time!

Best Piano App

I have been trying out a bunch of piano apps to find something simple for finding pitches, making chords, etc. Any ideas on the best one?

Re: Finale 2010 on wine on KUBUNTU 10.10

I've had similar issue with Finale. As far as special or 20th century notation goes, MuseScore does need a bit a of work to do some things like different time signatures on simultaneous staves, etc. Some special symbols are absent as well. Overall it's pretty good. The playback engine is okay, but n...
