Re: bitKlavier

yes in bk_JUCE/bitKlavier/Source/GraphicsConstants.h change #elif JUCE_WINDOWS to #elif JUCE_WINDOWS || JUCE_LINUX Basically the same as what I did. I wasn't aware that JUCE_LINUX would work, that's much nicer. I've now hit a snag at the link stage: Linking bitKlavier - Shared Code Linking bitKlavi...

Re: online music instruction ?

For...'theory', working asynchronously (could even be in written form) is much nicer than spending 1-on-1 time on that. I think you're right. I've been teaching two students some theory and music history, I agree that the presentation would be better as a standalone video than an interactive sessio...

Re: online music instruction ?

My thanks to those of you who responded, I'm grateful for your replies. I've been teaching online since March 16. I'm in the process of writing a short article about my experience and what I've learned that was not anticipated in the online materials I consulted before starting. A few salient points...

Re: Four Chords

That's some mighty tension ~2:53. VCV is something I've wanted to dig into for... a long time. It always looks a little intimidating, but thanks for the reminder to try it out. Thanks for checking out the track ! :) Like any modular, VCV Rack takes some time to get into. No presets (for the most pa...

As it happened, the exercise began with Pianoteq but I wanted more timbral variety.

Thanks for lending your ears !

GMaq wrote: Wed Apr 22, 2020 7:45 pm I would agree with milo a lot of interesting stuff going on in those patches! Too bad you added the 4th chord though... you could have had a major hit on your hands but you had to get all jazzy!
I'm still learning when to stop. :)

Thanks for lending your ears, G !

online music instruction ?

Greetings ! For many years I've maintained a teaching schedule of ~20 students (I purposefully restrict the number of students I'll accept) and I've been successful transferring most of them to online sessions due to the impact of the corona virus. So I have some questions for LM members: 1. Have yo...

Re: Making music as you get older

I'd say a professional musician is someone who makes their living, or at least a substantial part of it, in music. So sure, people who, through a job making music, support a normal lifestyle living in normal houses and driving normal cars are professional musicians. That would be me. I no longer pe...
