Re: alsa-jack-loopback HF-roll-off (REW)

finaly found a solution to use REW in 44100

instead of the usual alsa_in and alsa_out:

Code: Select all

zita-j2a -d ploop -r 44100 -Q 96
zita-a2j -d cloop -r 44100 -Q 96

Re: Updated list of Linux compatible audio interfaces

This is my list. https://linuxgamecast.com/linux-compatible-audio-interfaces/ nice list. a shame we are probably not going to see Ffado supported in Pipewire https://gitlab.freedesktop.org/pipewire/pipewire/-/issues/326 Aren't the FFADO drivers not supported in the kernel now? no, what is in the ke...

Re: Pipewire called for testers. Anybody tried it out?

Great to see how the PipeWire developers are responding to feedback from the LAD/LAU community. This process looks to be far better compared to the implementation of PulseAudio. There was almost no collaboration there. O my, we needed this 15 years ago. a shame Ffado wont be suported, it seams http...

Re: Updated list of Linux compatible audio interfaces

I've been buying old firewire interfaces for the past few months and making mini reviews for fun. The FFADO list was outdated and now it's gone. So far: MOTU Traveler MKI MOTU 828MKII Phonic Firefly 202 M-Audio ProFire 2626 MBOX 2 Mini (usb) Digidesign Digi 003R Presonus FIRESTUDIO 26×26 Behringer ...

Re: Pipewire called for testers. Anybody tried it out?

I see a couple of advantages for my use-case: 1) bitperfect output: with Jack you are forced to one fixed samplerate 2) I run a couple of plugins (convolvers/loudness-compensation) in my playback chain which require a larger buffer. With PiWi I wont have to switch back and fourth sound-server buffe...

Re: Pipewire called for testers. Anybody tried it out?

I am using the pulseaudio replacement atm (enable pipewire-pulse.socket). this is intresting even when not replacing jack since it will make pulse and alsa available in jack without all the shitty workrounds we are using atm. the last part is not working atm though. jack is not startable when the pi...

Re: Pipewire called for testers. Anybody tried it out?

you can run it as a replacment for jack (dropin installed), or you can run it seperatly. I haven't managed to expose pipewire to the jack server though

Re: Pipewire called for testers. Anybody tried it out?

qjackctrl and cadence does not work (qjack shows jack as running but setting it up with a different buffer changes nothng) that is expected when you run pipewire as a replacement for jack. buffers and stuff are set app per app. the drop-ins are there to be able to connect stuff. apps that don't hav...

It's in the does not work category on my list.
that sucks. have a nice offer on a 002 :(
