Creating an sf2 file on a 61 keys keyboard.
Were do the sounds position themselves when used on a 48 or 25 keys keyboard? Is this concentrated on the centre key? Or the left key? Otherwise?
Or asked differently, which keys disappear with the less keys keyboard because not enough keys?

Re: Ardour Youtube Channel
Nice.
I would create on that channel a playlist too. There are plenty good tutorials online already to put in that playlist which i as Ardour channel would support that way. You don't have to invent all wheels again.

Re: Are there any big artists that use FOSS software?
So, so far no "big artists" were reported to use FOSS isn't it, let alone "big name artists". As we will never know, as they will never tell. But there must be. Can't be otherwise. Just like none of them tells he or she recorded with protools, ableton or cubase. Anyone knows wit...

Re: Are there any big artists that use FOSS software?
Could be. Or like someone said here elsewhere, everyone is pirating. Even pro musicians he knows are using pirated software. That was me too who said that. On the first page already. What was the discussion about? Haha. I don't know. I explicitly mentioned elsewhere , eg. not in this thread . You a...

Re: The best Linux DAW's in 2019?
I don't like topics about best. Best daw, best microphone, best interface. Is best for you also the best for someone else? What is best?
My wife says i am the best man one can get. I think your wife will not agree.

Re: Change Hydrogen DrumKit halfway through a song?
What about different drum samples in different velocity regions. So that way you can use one half of the velocity range for one kit and the other half for the other kit. Is that possible? With different velocities and different kits i would choose for the easiest option, working in two sessions for...

Re: Are there any big artists that use FOSS software?
But big artists once were small. And small artists many times have to work on budget. FOSS is budget. So with the linux which is FOSS usage statistics in mind it can't be otherwise then that there must be big artists who recorded some of their first songs on FOSS software when they still were small...

Re: Change Hydrogen DrumKit halfway through a song?
As far as i know you can not change a full kit within one session. You can set up your own wanted drum kit from separate drum parts out off different drum kits. You don't need to load a full kit. Simply said. You can use the bass drum from the 808 kit together with the snare from the 909 kit and the...

Re: Are there any big artists that use FOSS software?
It's more than obvious that artists' concerns are not about which OS the studio runs, let alone which plugins they use and which DAW they work with. An artist concern is totally different from that. That was one of my statements in one of my first reactions. So who eventually decides with what that...

Re: Are there any big artists that use FOSS software?
 Exactly. And how will the big guys respond to that you think? Perhaps that is the reason why you never see linux on the screens? Although i think 85% off the graphical designs made with gimp can be good enough to compete and to be used by the graphical industries. Which advanced features do y...

Re: Are there any big artists that use FOSS software?
Sure it depends what you do, but what you have been claiming "you can't run business with linux", that is bullshit. I said common business. I was not talking about the exeptions which always exist. And who says thats bullshit didn't work at that level off business with the market leading ...

Re: Are there any big artists that use FOSS software?
My most important customer has 42000 employees. They needed Linux & QNX specialist. Server? Or desktops? Like i said, the most common software for business is not available for linux. Thats a simple fact. Yes linux server is very common. Server has official support. The lack of that also makes ...

Re: Are there any big artists that use FOSS software?
You're talking about office stuff. Most yes. And if your going into business office stuff is the first you need to start with. You can't run a business without office stuff. At least I was running own business 1999-2014 with Linux computers. With all respect for small businesses which i highly resp...

Re: solid state guitar amp recommendations?
debating tubes vs. solid state as guitarists are. Indeed ufug. Thats such a stupid discussion. There simply are bad amplifiers and good amplifiers both among tube and ss ones. There are lots of good solid state amplifiers which can compete with tube amplifiers. I have heard tube amps which so...
