Hi everyone,
I haven't been online for any of the chats recently, but I'll be checking in more regularly in August.
Hope to see lots of you there! --regular time, Saturdays.

Re: LNXMuSCNS video meetings on Saturday / 6pm GMT / 8pm CEST / 14.00 EDT
Was anyone online last week? I wasn't, but the week before it was nice to see some "old, familiar faces" and chat a bit!
This evening I'll be online but just at the beginning; next week should be normal.
I'm also still curious to know if people would prefer a weeknight instead...?

Re: LNXMuSCNS video meetings on Saturday / 6pm GMT / 8pm CEST / 14.00 EDT
@folderol I was thinking GMT time. I'd be curious to hear other opinions too! Tonight I should be online, but towards 11pm (Paris time). I hope others can make it too! I know with the warmer weather it'll probably be less common for people to check in, but I'd like to keep the group open since there...

I was thinking perhaps a Thursday evening from 8-10pm.
Would that work?
Other suggestions?

Re: LNXMuSCNS video meetings on Saturday / 6pm GMT / 8pm CEST / 14.00 EDT
Meetings still on for Saturdays everyone! Last week I had a very nice, helpful chat with folderol about all things Yoshimi--both new and old features. It was good to get some further info and tips about this wonderful synth! Thanks to PieterPenninckx for stopping in, too! :) Hope to see others too t...

Re: Does your music makes you happy outside of a production context ?
Yes! In fact, it usually gives me a warm-fuzzy feeling inside that I don't get anywhere else. Even though other music can be nice and inspiring, and good to dedicate some time to (and there's SO much of it now on the Internet!), my music is made primarily for my own enjoyment. (If others enjoy it to...

Re: Solo Piano Album - Spring Serenade
@ Brian: Those dssi synths, wsynth, xsynth, whysynth and hexter are quite under-rated. Calf monosynth and wavetable synths are also good, but lacking in soundsets. I see wsynth has some soundsets, Maybe you'll be able to make some keys-playin' presets for it, in your explorations? The rather vast a...

Re: Solo Piano Album - Spring Serenade
... I'm getting some really expressive sounds out of Wsynth these days that I love. There's often aliasing in the upper end that I wish could be avoided, but the expressiveness of the low and middle ranges is very pleasing to my ears. I think this type of music would "fit" with these type...

Re: Solo Piano Album - Spring Serenade
I like it! Very therapeutic indeed! Thanks for sharing this! (I wonder if this type of music could be done well with synths...???) Brian The extent of a given synths envelopes and waveforms, and the fluidity of play might be key factors. There are sample-based synths, and Pianoteq would qualify as ...

I was unusually tired so I got on early and didn't stay long; next week I'll stay on longer!
