...For the mix, I'd turn the snare down by a lot... This. To the OP: Your recording is great, the playing is excellent throughout, and that snare is over-recorded, it's way out of balance with the rest of the texture. Very fine work otherwise. It's not at all a genre I take much interest in, but I ...

Re: Article on VCV Rack on Fedora
... The only problem I found in VCV Rack: there are too many plugins :) Amen to that. I've purposely restricted my work to use only open-source modules whenever possible. The Vult collection is the main exception, they're just too good to avoid. Ditto the NYSTHI collection, it's an incredible set o...

Re: SFZ Player for Linux
Greetings !
Just a quick mention of the SFZ Player module in the Squinky Labs plugin for VCV Rack. It's still in development but it's working with most SFZ files I've thrown at it so far. WAV and FLAC are supported, maybe AIFF too (if not already there).

Re: Article on VCV Rack on Fedora
I hope your article gets more Linux people into the mix. VCV Rack is an open-source project licensed under the GPL, and there are a *lot* of great open-source modules freely available. Your recommended list is a good start, I'd add the Squinky Labs plugin and the Vult Free package (not open-source b...

Re: Non-Session-Manager fork descalation
... Here are 2 things that every OSS developer needs to understand before he releases any code: 1) If you don't want anyone to make money off of your code, don't give it a BSD license. 2) If you don't want anyone to modify (and distribute the mods) of your code, don't license it GPL. The entire poi...

Re: BespokeSynth - modular softsynth/graphical programming env./DAW - Linux build?
Kott I'm getting a build error when the compiler reaches Sample.cpp. I'll report it to the Issues but I wondered if you'd already encountered and solved the problem: ../../Source/Sample.cpp:158:63: error: cannot convert ‘std::unique_ptr<juce::FileOutputStream>’ to ‘juce::FileOutputStream*’ in initi...

Congratulations, that is an impressive project. Lilypond is an amazing system as-is but I welcome any GUI enhancements for it. I'll check out your software as soon as possible.
