Fair enough. I guess I need some Ladish education. All I use is studios yet. Just tried creating a room from basic template and it didn't work. Got the "something went wrong" message I've had enough of for tonight. I'll read some documentation about this later.Thanks !

I solved pretty much the same problem with my system tonight. Claudia would crash Jack for no reason here too. QJackctl would start Jack fine. It took some editing to Claudia Studio XML file. I got rid of input output aliases and made them plain hw2. Now it works fine. Maybe that's your problem too ?

Thanks to a very stupid plugin that crashed right when initialized, I've added a few fixes for such bad behaved plugins (in this case, synth-edit based Windows VST, which are very common). I installed KXStudio 64 on my fast mac mini today. It was a bit of a nightmare but I can report don't need to preload plugins anymore. Feels great though I regret I've been wasting my time with this old laptop.
