Re: Polyverse Gatekeeper airwave/linvst/wine

I just tried it out.

It seems to be an opengl problem on my system, but my test system only has basic old opengl.

Maybe some (especially older) video cards might have problems, seeing that the plugin is using opengl for quite a few of it's features.

Re: Native Access

Hi, does Native Access (the Native Instruments install manager) work with people? I downloaded and installed it, but it does not run. I am using Kx Studio with Wine 1.8. I am trying to migrate to Linux here, but absolutely need Kontakt and Reaktor for example. I don't know about Native Access but I...

Re: Polyverse Gatekeeper airwave/linvst/wine

Wines d2d1 can be problematic.

Try disabling d2d1 in the Libraries tab of winecfg and see what happens (type in d2d1 and then add it and then edit it and choose disable).

Maybe it's not that and might be due to another dll.

Re: LinVST 64bit Deb Package *Try at own risk!

I made a 32 bit LinVst version on AV Linux 4.9. Ardour seems to have some problems, probably due to a library. When I try to import a midi file, Ardour reports that the midi signature was not found or something like that and then it vanishes (crashes). Then I tested LinVst with Reaper 32 bit (same m...

Re: LinVST 64bit Deb Package *Try at own risk!

Hi ubuntuuser Thanks, with the new makefiles I was able to build the 32bit binary from source, however I still have an issue: I am using the exact same set of 32bit Windows VST's on both 64bit and 32bit AV Linux systems (they are just a collection of old classic freebies), with the 64bit package of...

Re: LinVST 64bit Deb Package *Try at own risk!

@ubuntuuser OK I'm trying to compile the source for 1.7.6 on 32bit and I'm getting the same errors as before... I'm using the 'wine-rt' version of Wine from the KXStudio repositories and I'm certain I have the development libraries installed Here is the error: isotester@avl32box:~/PACKAGING/LINVST-...

Yes, wineasio is not needed by things like LinVst and Airwave.

Re: LinVST 64bit Deb Package *Try at own risk!

While I'm talking about LinVst, From my experience, there are some Wine dll's that cause the most trouble. They are d2d1.dll, which is the main problem dll because quite a few vst's use it and Wines inbuilt version is not complete. There are some workarounds that can work for d2d1 in varying degrees...

Hello I tried to use your nice software, but didn't really get it work with Ardour and Addictive Drums 2. In your github manual you said that it shuld work with Ardour and Addictive drums 2. Ardour blacklistes the AD2.so and wont even start it. I also tried it trough Carla and with it I didn't get ...

Re: Sfz vst SFZero

The other thing is disk streaming, and there are some Juce classes already around for it but I havn't gone into depth with them. I think that is a completely different matter. Implementing disk streaming is not an easy task. Specially when you have realtime audio and multiple voices, that can play ...

Re: Sfz vst SFZero

I should add this to the distrho-ports repo to make it easier for everyone... (plus we get LV2 out of it as well) Thing is, we need to look for which specific SFZero package to include. There are 3 versions at the moment. https://github.com/stevefolta/SFZero https://github.com/schellingb/SFZero htt...

Re: Sfz vst SFZero

Ok it loads. Now there's an interesting GUI bug. Seems like that one still had the JUCE filechooser quirk, but I wasn't sure if it mattered on the Stretch version. I've remade it and called it SFZero-Stretch.zip https://github.com/osxmidi/SFZero/releases If this one doesn't work then it might have ...
