Re: Support of audio interfaces under Linux
If one goes on gearslutz etc their idea of "musician" appears to be a DJ or a glowstick waving EDM clown who can hit the spacebar on a $2000 Macbook (excluding add-ons) to start an mp3 player but to me the term "musician" means somebody who plays an instrument of some sort or so...

Re: normal Linux kernels with threadirqs vs RT patchset
best way to find if threadirqs are enabled on the system is to grep them: ps ax | grep "\[irq" the output should be something like that: 96 ? S 0:00 [irq/26-xhci_hcd] 97 ? S 0:00 [irq/27-xhci_hcd] 98 ? S 0:00 [irq/28-xhci_hcd] 99 ? S 0:00 [irq/29-xhci_hcd] 100 ? S 0:07 [irq/17-ehci_hcd] 10...

Re: Need help
What about alsa? Can you play a music and record without jack on 1010?
Can you run jack with unplugged i/o box? Have you used envy24 control to setup hardware clock rate?
this command can help you to observe "realtime" irq polling

Re: Network can't be set on new install
Would any of you know what this issue is? Have you tried to update system? It could be remedy. killall <service> (and also tried sudo kill <pid>) for both kwallet as well as NetworkManager, but these services are immediately re-assigned a brand-spanking new pid and ultimately can't be killed. try t...

behringer uca202 vs steinberg cl2+
What is better behringer uca202 or steinberg cl2+ soundwise?
I have beringer uca202, cool but rather unreliable device... do you think is it worthy to upgrade do steinberg cl2+ as a monitoring device?
What dac is used in steinberg cl2+? Any ideas about its headphone amplifier design?

Re: Is there an audio interface that I can use also as mixer
Uhm...what do you mean by cold? And do you mean on the outputs, or in the recording? Audio path in mixers is coloring sound to a cold like a dead or blue dead cold impression  Beringer Xenyx and Phonic Helix are not listed as working on linux with usb. http://www.alsa-project.org/main/index.ph...

set everything as on the picture
http://postimg.org/image/gg93dhsyp/
try to set priority to 50 or 89, somehow you are able resist it
from the first log:
you have set the periods to 2 and priority to 10
