SampleTank 4 Grand layered with EP and shimmer-reverb

I love the simple layering of sounds in IK Multimedia SampleTank products. This screen is a grand piano with a nice e-piano, blended to taste, both sent to a nice free reverb, Adam Szabo's Solaris, that deservedly won the recent KVR 'developers challenge' contest. Many IK products have useful free '...

Re: AV Linux MX Edition 23.1 (AVL-MXe) Released!

A lot depends on what you need. If there are crucial capabilities you are missing, you can find the wine changelogs and see if they are mentioned in the fixes and new features. If you can spring for a drive or ssd in a usb case, you could have a second AVL install for such experiments, and then copy...

I really appreciate you comments! Would that tyrants would first sit down and compare the great things they could accomplish with the vast wealth they instead plan and purpose for causing only death and destruction.

'When Peace Broke Out' and 'An ETA For Hope'

Re: I've made two new songs

Hi, listened to Fourth Decade, and I think an arpeggiated melodic bassline would be fun inserted in a few places.
At 2:19, a drum flourish might be nice as an exclamation point. The lyrics do reflect on society moving away from sanity!

Re: Little Misty improv.

You won't be a beginner for long 8) People underestimate the value of being able to learn and improvise, and enjoy playing music, not concerned beyond the moment. Each day has enough trouble, so each day should also have enough music. The piano sounds nice, and is recorded well, without visible reco...

Re: The Wintered Summer videomusic UHD 4K

Nicely done. I hope the rafters in the video can take a ride on the smaller stream. The melody fits well with the pace and movement of the waters. Switching among instruments is smooth, like the stream, and they fit well with each other as a mini orchestra. The local carvings and history are probabl...

Re: AV Linux 23.1 on external SSD

I have three bootable AVL setups on one computer, one drive is an ssd at /dev/sda Another drive is an sata at /dev/sdb, with the newest AVL And another AVL is on an sata drive in a usb case at /dev/sdd. In the early-boot menu, I can pick the ssd, and in it's grub list is listed the /dev/sdd, with a ...

If even a commercial enterprise like Reaper...

I suspect Justin's enterprise isn't planning to join the Fortune 500 in 2024. His enterprise is hard work, listening to and responding to users, and being in the right place at the right time with some regularity.

Re: Arturia Analog Lab Play: free and authorized

I'm happy their plugins and authorization are working in my setup. I don't have an Arturia midi controller, and most big companies don't research making linux editors for their hardware, because they are in intense competition in the mac/win market, and it's 'battle stations, all hands on deck!' jus...
