a little bit older thread, but I like this idea. I think it might be nice to see JACK settings too (if applicable). It would be nice if we could compile a table to help new users have a good guess at where to start with JACK settings based on their HW.

Maybe software converts lower quality to higher for that purpose, maybe not, I don't know at this point. Even if a software oversamples, once information has been lost through compression, filtering, or downsampling, it's gone. Not that a mp3 quality library is useless, but not really suitable for ...
