Re: CALF Audio plug-in
1) Is there some plan to make a new version of all these awesome plug-ins, thinking to use them with surround sound (more than 2 audio channels at the same time)? ??? Why don't you ask developers themselves? They don't hide under an obscure company name. All the names, emails and links to resources...

Re: valhalla
Slowly? I don't think so. We see a new vendor releasing something for Linux once a month, if not more frequently. This is sort of a growing trend now. Some of them even adopt LV2, which is, for me, a reason to buy their stuff even if I will use it rarely.skei wrote:even if it's going slowly..

Re: Audio assault plugins @ linux
Still wasn't in the studio this week except the band practice, so looking forward to check it out. Liked the demo a lot though, sounds like it's gonna become my go-to reverb for many sources and genres.ufug wrote:How do you like Aural Verb?

Re: Audio assault plugins @ linux
They are awesome. I recently bought XCTR along with Aural Verb, and then asked if they gonna release it for Linux soon, because I was shocked by its CPU footprint under WINE/linvst, which I installed exactly for that. Turned out XCTR will not be released very soon, but the next plugin they ported to...

Re: Jack audio kit install help
Alex, and it isn't a forum for "How could I make my windows software working with wine" as well, but you participate in those threads happily But did you really read my comments? Almost all of them are about avoiding WINE and making commercial developers release their stuff for Linux. I n...

Seriously, just step away from that scary magic box and never approach it again. This isn't “Mac OS X for toddlers” forum, it's Linux Musicians.Newmac wrote:I tried the tar xvzf command in terminal to extract the tar file but all I get is a folder. Ideology? What's ideological about vast difference in performance between WINE bridged and native plugins? What's ideological about faster plugin scan and faster project opening?merlyn wrote:If anyone has any ideas please post them. If you have ideological objections just ignore it.

Re: Spitfire Audio free sample libraries
their recommendation at the moment is for Linux users to run MT Power DrumKit under WINE They are working on a native version. I got the same recommendation from BABY Audio with their products, but they will consider porting their plugs to GNU/Linux if they get enough requests. How much is “enough”...

Re: Spitfire Audio free sample libraries
[So if you're alright with using WINE for MT Power DrumKit why did you get your panties in a twist when someone asked about running Spitfire Audio with WINE? I am not okay with that, I use Drumgizmo instead. However, I'd like to have something like MT Power Drumkit for quick “prototyping” of drum p...

Re: Spitfire Audio free sample libraries
Do you have any evidence that that is the case? How many emails would it take? I don't know the numbers, because I am a single person, and nobody will make a Linux plugin just for me unless I do that myself. However, there was enough emails sent to Chris from airwindows who even open sourced stuff ...

Re: Sonarworks headphone & speaker calibration software.
Is there any progress? I didn't follow this software for a while, given I lost any connections with Rudolfs, one of the developers. I still have an intention to buy it, Reference could have saved my ass better than my skills when I was finishing my band's last album. Mastering on headphones without ...

Re: Tracktion plugins (retromod, waverazor) crash in all my DAWs
Does someone have an idea how to solve this problem? Tracktion developers sure will have some ideas on that. Even with open source stuff, developers are the first to contact about any issues. I recently had a problem with Audio Assault's Aural Verb (it didn't work at all, got instantly blacklisted ...

Re: Spitfire Audio free sample libraries
The LABS application had been working for me for a very long time, but in the last month or so open, it has started showing that loading screen, then just crashing! The vst plugin is still working completely fine, though Wrong place. Try asking developers first, something might have changed behind ...

Didn't try that, I checked only plugins and both Mixbus's and Ardour's stretch tools. Can't do this right now because I am not at home nor in studio.d.healey wrote:standalone command line tool didn't work for you either?
