Re: Tranzistow synth

> If you think ZynAddSubFX is complex and confusing, don't bother Hmm... I have designed two patch libraries and curated a third that are part of the standard instrument set with ZASFX, and I've contributed code to that project. A can honestly say that for someone with a background in the basic of ...

Some of them don't have man page nor help, for example jack_midisine.

Yeah, Fender is registered trademark, https://www.fender.com/pages/terms-of-use

Re: New to MIDI and Linux. I'm Dying! :(

LMMS might not be the best daw on Linux, but its probably the easiest one to learn. In addition, setting up it is easy. Install from package, and start using. Having basic samples and plugins included. Only bigger thing missing is ability to record and edit audio. Sure, that can be handled with aud...

Re: Casting Windows Audio to Multiple Pi using Jack

I have problems understanding what you are trying to do.

- From where is audio coming, and where it is going?
- What is transport method, audio signal, USB, network, firewire, something else?

Re: Can't get mpd to start as a user automatically

What config file that would use, and is there possibly 'user' defined there? Or is mpd using some directories which aren't owned by user?

I have done running mpd as myseld with just editing /etc/mpd.conf

And other options I was considering:

And sure, my balance is on affordable side, but they both get high reviews.

Re: SSS Strat to HSS upgrade suggestions.

Hi everyone, I have an SSS Highway One (original pickups) that I've been thinking about making HSS by adding a single coil sized humbucker. I usually play it with a fairy loose bridge and I would like a little more sustain and a "crispy" sound on that position. I don't know a lot about pi...

Re: Drumkit Licensing

My DrumGizmo kit (linked in my signature) is using that same license but has no additional stipulation about attribution. Use it how you wish. The only thing I ask: if you want to donate any money for the kit, donate it to the person who recorded the samples of his drum kit (his website donation li...

Re: Drumkit Licensing

@tavasti You could use the .sf2 sound file I made from the huge Sonor 3007 drum kit. I recorded all those samples from my drum kit and it's license is the " What the Fuck License ", as I don't care about if anyone is using it in his/her songs or creating any other work based on that sampl...

Re: Drumkit Licensing

I just made it explicit that "When using the samples in a composition, attributions must be made in the album credits." for all the kits that I am the author of. @tavasti that means that you should be able to post your songs on spotify without showing the attribution there, but only add i...

Re: Drumkit Licensing

drum kit licensing is problematic: requirement for attribution is impossible when releasing music for example in spotify. I'm afraid that what you describe is the correct interpretation of the license. Could you not simply have a website referenced that could hold the licence information? I do not ...

Michael Willis wrote: Wed Jan 06, 2021 10:46 pm Seems like the attribution requirement is if you make a derivative drum kit, rather than making music with the drum kit.
That would make sense, but in drum kit readme it does not say anything about such limitation.

Those drum kits are with https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0/
