Re: DrumGizmo 0.9.19 Released!

I don't understand how the git:// is being altered to https:// ?? They are completely different protocols, running on different ports. Are you behind some kind of proxy perhaps?

I just tried cloning through a VPN connection, and that also works as expected.

Re: DrumGizmo 0.9.19 Released!

git clone git://git.drumgizmo.org/drumgizmo.git --recursive works fine here. The submodule refered in your log output has been replaced with another source. If you try to pull on a clone done a year ago or so, it will probably fail this way. Doing a fresh clone should fix the issue. Alternatively y...

Re: DrumGizmo 0.9.19 Released!

There were a mal-configuration of the git server exports, which should have been fixed now.

Re: DrumGizmo 0.9.19 Released!

Is this a fresh clone? I'm not sure where the reference to getoptpp.git via https:// comes from? All should be git://

Will there be a vst3 version?
Some day perhaps, but for now it doesn't have high priority, since the VST2 use-cases mostly overlap with the VST3 ones as far as I understand it?

DrumGizmo 0.9.19 Released!

DrumGizmo 0.9.19 Released! DrumGizmo is an open source, multichannel, multilayered, cross-platform drum plugin and stand-alone application. It enables you to compose drums in midi and mix them with a multichannel approach. It is comparable to that of mixing a real drumkit that has been recorded with...

Re: OSX State-of-Play?

I have just made a new OSX binary for the 0.9.19 release (which will be publicly announced later today I hope) It can be downloaded here: https://drumgizmo.org/releases/drumgizmo-0.9.19/drumgizmo-osx-0.9.19.vst.tar.gz The sudo spctl --master-disable hack will still be needed to make it work. One of ...

Re: Adding all the current DrumGizmo kits as a package

We are actually working on setting up a git repository with al the xml files of the kits. this means that you could have the audio files downloaded from the web-site stored manually and then simply do a git pull once in a while to get the latest xml changes. For those interested, the repo can be fou...

Re: Mic ch names show up in CLI but not with plugin

This is a limitation in the plugin APIs, which doesn't allow for setting the port names dynamically at runtime. It is possible to set the port names at startup time (ie. initially when the plugin is being loaded into Carla) but at that point in time, the drumkit has not yet been loaded from disk, so...

I am currently trying to become an official Fedora package maintainer.
It's a "long" process but I am confident, I will finish to succeed the tests :)
That sounds great :-) Let us know if there is anything we can do to help speed up the process.

Re: DrumGizmo humanization as separate plugin?

tavasti wrote: Fri Apr 24, 2020 7:49 am Would it be possible to get DrumGizmo humanization as separate plugin? Plugin to take midi in, put humanized midi out.

Sure easiest thing would be just add midi out to normal drumgizmo?
We have it on the roadmap, so yes, but I'm not sure when we will get to making it.

Re: Make humanization of drums by hand or leave it to DrumGizmo?

DrumGizmo was created with easy humanization in mind. So ideally you can simply plot your notes on-grid and with a constant velocity, and then let DrumGizmo handle the rest. You can alter how tight it is and how "strong" the virtual drummer is using the knobs in the UI. Usually this is eno...

Awesome - Thanks for reporting back :-)

Did you also have to use the "master-disable" hack to make it work?
