Re: Does your music makes you happy outside of a production context ?
Yes. Each release encapsulates a story from my life that: Help me think or reflect Remind me of specific experiences and life lessons Motivate me Each release reminds me what I can accomplish if I stay focused on my goals. Totally agree! Every song and every recording is a personal time capsule. So...

Re: A new track!
I like how the video starts: you're just chillin', sipping from your cup. You play a little ditty on the Korg, then get down to business. Haha! You've obviously gotten more comfortable with being on video. I enjoyed this song. A very gentle piece indeed. Makes me want to descend through the cloud la...

Re: Dark blues Soul cover (aint no sunshine)
I enjoyed listening. A very dark song indeed, as classic blues often is. Really good tone on that guitar -- the delay adds just the right sound for a live gig in a smallish hall. Nice ear for finding that tone. I though your vocals were pretty effective. Not perfect, but they don't have to be and re...

This is really not my cup of acid, but I gotta say: the production quality is really stellar on this track. @oscillator, you can really do that mix! And what guitar work! Strong chops, @Tenaba!

What you want is an auxiliary send. Look it up in the Ardour manual and read that whole chapter. For some reason my device isn't letting me copy/paste the url. (Sorry)

Maybe by routing the signal to an audio bus?

Re: The things (prog remix) and please help
Too late to vote, but I did give it a listen. It is nice arrangement with interesting changes and texture variations with the different lead instruments. Is it just me, or does it sound like the tempo is a little unstable in the intro? I have never used Barry's Satan Maximizer, mostly because of its...

It's not online and never will be. But I'll email you a copy if you pm me. It was a post-breakup catharsis song.

Re: "nowhere hills" a new ambient experiment
I don't like to criticize pieces for not being my cup of tea, but I do like a bit of rhythm to anchor pieces like this. Just a bit of slow percussion, or some repeating melodic phrase to keep my ear engaged. Having said that, I did listen through to the end and found a lot of interesting sound textu...

Re: With Ardour and VOCALOID - Part 2 -
Solid track! The mixing is definitely better than your last post, although the songs are so different that it's like comparing apples and oranges. I especially like the guitar work, and props to you for making your own tape delay! So you have found x42-plugins! My favorites as well. I've been really...

Good track. You always punctuate your tunes with fantastic little bits of ear candy. Well done!

Re: Dancing with a ghost (3D glitz disco with Benjamin Michael)
I'm always up for a bit of disco (but just a bit!). Good texture work on the backing tracks to make a danceable rhythm. Nice counterpoint harmonies in the sax. You hit the genre pretty squarely in the composition, I think. You ended up with a good recording here, but I agree that it doesn't sound as...

If yall liked this, you might enjoy my latest release within the same subgenre - "She's Toxic" - also on YouTube , Spotify , Deezer (because people are apparently leaving leaving Spotify ), etc. Good sound work in this, especially the stereo effect on the intro. It's another pretty dark s...

Re: Solo Piano Album - Spring Serenade
This is really lovely! I listened to the whole album with my wife, and she liked it too! It's not very often that my wife will like any music from this forum (I usually don't bother playing anything for her), so that is high praise. I envy keyboardists, because I spent my formative years on fretboar...

Re: It's been a long time coming, some metal
Sorry to show up late (again). I'm not sure that I've ever heard metal with a swing feel, but it sure adds a nice bouncy feel to an otherwise heavy sound. Your guitar work is really good throughout. Probably my favorite parts are the little fill partway through the verse and the double-picking solos...
