Re: Looking for Artists willing to have music featured in video
I am not against a little bit of promotion ;) Have lots of Linux only made tunes, but they are in different places, so I will have to list some links (although most of it is featured here). http://www.louigiverona.ru/?page=projects&s=writings&t=blog022011_15 http://www.louigiverona.ru/files/...

LFO7 (QMidiArp and the usual suspects)
Hey guys! This was recorded live with QMidiArp, Rakarrack and Qtractor. Additionally I used a superb LADSPA Comb Filter, Specimen as sample source and CALF Vintage Delay, my usual buddy. Thanks to QMidiArp's LFOs, I could get some nice cooking going on in real time. http://soundcloud.com/louigiveron...

Re: Playing with the new QMidiArp

QMidiArp + Specimen + Rakarrack + Qtractor
http://www.louigiverona.ru/files/slumber.ogg Spontaneous music, as usual ;) Had LFO of length 7 control the volume of one of the QMidiArp sequencers of length 4, which produced a nice shift and allowed me to make different notes loud. I changed LFO shape frequetly throughout the performance. Specime...

Playing with the new QMidiArp
Hey guys! New QMidiArp rocks for a spontaneous live performance and here's proof, a 32 minutes live session. Everything done on the fly, nothing prewritten. Very dynamic tune so be sure to listen to it all! http://www.disc-shelf.com/var_files/Patterns.ogg ps: it is better to get the version from git...

Re: Playing Live on Linux
Hey! Maybe you would find my setup of use. Detailed article here: http://www.louigiverona.ru/?page=projects&s=writings&t=linux&a=linux_livesetup As for reloading things while on stage, you generally use scripting. It sounds complicated, but in reality it is not that difficult. I plan to ...

Re: din
It is much much more than just a synthesizer. In fact, I would not call it a synthesizer at all, but more like a digital instrument.

"droning" project launched
"droning" is an ongoing project to produce a great number of drone recordings of praiseworthy duration and extreme static nature, at the same time providing no context and allowing the listener to use his own context - experience, expectations, state of mind - to define the value of the pr...

Re: What panel/launcher do you use for audio production?
I use Openbox. Tried panels on Openbox, did not like anything. Eventually I installed a package called obmenu and created a custom LinuxAudio menu entry, where listed all the programs I use. Now any program I need is two clicks away - right click to bring up the Openbox menu, browse to LinuxAudio me...

Morning improvisational session
Hey guys!
Here's a recording for ya, did a small improvisation there. The style I guess is ambient house or ambient with rhythm and such.
http://www.louigiverona.ru/files/AutumnRain_session.ogg
Very slow progression, but satisfying.
