I played around with lots of distros, and ended up sticking with linux mint. Seems the most stable for me.

So I installed ubuntu studio, and it bricked my damn computer. Gah. Can't boot anything at all. Grrrrrr. Going to try to install dream studio and see if that helps.

I ran that command, it printed some sort of error message, and my sound works again... I'm not sure how that works, but hey, whatever.

Now I just gotta get my pc to actually make a usb of av linux, and things should be good.
