Re: Record live screencast with n audio channels?
I would like to stay on topic.
From the command line options Gstreamer seems to have the matching JACK parameters: n channels and jack transport.
If that really works, I don't know, I have to learn gstreamer first.

Record live screencast with n audio channels?
Hello, I am looking to improve my recording of live screencasts with arbitrary number of audio channels, or rather stereo pairs. It is for this project, where I also described the currently lengthy process of recording. https://git.laborejo.org/lss/Multichannel_Web_Video_Audio_Player_With_Volume_Mix...

Re: MOD Insolvency and Reboot
This is a new company. The legal difference is that they changed from GmbH (which is the German "real company") to "UG (haftungsbeschränkt)", which is a company model for startups etc. Already the first blunder, albeit meaningless for users: The company name must include "UG...

While fun for thirty seconds the license makes it entirely useless.

Re: Agordejo: Is it possible to start Carla visible?
Saving the visibility state over session restarts is the clients responsibility. Ths first start after adding it to the session should be hidden. If you ignore all the nonsense in the github bug linked by milkii this is indeed the right place. But I want to make sure this is not a bug on my end (ago...

Re: What notation editor do you use and why?
Nils, on a sort of related note, I've been experimenting with Laborejo. As one would expect, it produces an elegant lilypond output. I'd include it in a discussion about engravers/notation apps. I am still working on Laborejo, but I have given up on actively getting anyone to use it. Not because I ...

Re: What session managers do people prefer?
I want to stress the point that I was repeating in my own words what Jonathan "male", the original NSM author said as reason. Hence "original reasoning". Here is the original mail where I asked that question myself: https://www.mail-archive.com/non@lists.tuxfamily.org/msg00446.ht...

Re: What session managers do people prefer?
> I never understand why NSM wont support CLI args. The original reasoning was that accepting cli arguments can introduce a conflict. You start a program with a --cli command like "start in rack mode" but then switch it, once it is running, to patchbay mode. Now the session closes and star...
